AN ACID attack survivor has released horrific images of himself that were taken just days after he claims his ex-girlfriend threw a bucket of acid in his face.

William Pezzulo, 33, became the victim of an acid attack when Elena Perotti and her accomplice, Dario Bertelli, threw a bucket of acid over him in 2012.

Elena Perotti was sentenced to 8 years in prison for aggravated injuries and a year and a half for stalking. She was pregnant, three months remained in prison: "A few days in jail were done and she immediately ended up under house arrest. She rebuilt her life. She got married, has two children. Absurdly, she lives five kilometers from my house. In court it never came and it's just me to pay. "

Perhaps women are silent about this because they don't want their friends to know how happy they are that this happened?

I wondered that, too. Like who has a bucket of acid lying around? I wouldn't even know where to get acid. I mean other than Larry downtown. But that's just now and then when I really just need to mellow out and take a trip.

They don't want to kill the person, they want to maim them, it's always towards the face, thus deforming them, psychologically evil.

There was nothing about the victim paying the attacker's legal fees. The victim has encountered medical expenses and legal fees, but I don't know why the latter. The second quote on the OP seems rather garbled and there's no explanation of any motive.

Her accomplice is apparently still in prison, while the woman who instigated the attack got a slap on the wrist and is now leading a normal life.

Let's hear it for gender equality!!

I've heard nothing about this. Of course, here in Canada, we get CNN and of course CBC, but no Fox. Was it on Fox, or did any of you hear it on talk radio there?—of course we have talk radio in Toronto, but I don't listen to it.

Not to be too crass about the poor guy's being blinded and disfigured, but this would be gold to the rightist media, and I don't think the US media is that insular to not report it.
