Texas always thinks they're setting an example for the rest of the country. They are - it's a cautionary tale of what happens when a lot of morons are concentrated in one state.

It'll be fun to watch this bill fail.

House Bill 896, introduced in the Texas House Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee, would remove the exception in the penal code for criminal homicide that applies to women and medical professionals and allow them to be charged with murder of an unborn child.

The measure would be a blanket ban on abortion procedures in the state, allowing the state to enforce the bill "regardless of any contrary federal law, executive order, or court decision." The landmark 1973 US Supreme Court decision in Roe v Wade affirmed the legality of a woman's right to have an abortion under the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution.

why not

dont murderers get the death penalty

whats the difference:confused:

It's a logical consequence of having an abortion if you're "anti-abortion".

I used to ask Julybabby04 (America's Worst Christian) who should be punished if abortion were made illegal. She responded the doctor who performed it, of course. No punishment for the gutterslut requesting one.

I said that, to me, that was akin to allowing a mob boss to go free for "ordering the hit" and only punishing the triggerman who shot the gun.

She didn't like that.

One in four women in Murica have an abortion in their life. If we start killing those hoors off, that will result in increased difficulty (and fewer opportunities) for men to find women, and the number of angry incels will skyrocket.

Perhaps this is how the GOP plans to boost their numbers, seeing as angry incels gravitate toward the Party of Hate.

If you actually believe abortion is murder — that aborting an embryo at 6 weeks is the exact same thing as walking up to a person on the street and shooting him — then this is a completely logical point of view.

But, but, but.... what if the baby is Jesus?!?!?

I'm surprised how? They have always placed more value on the fetus than the woman carrying it. She is merely a vessel.

You know that's really terrifying. I'm sure though that Texas legislator's wives, daughters, mistresses would never have an abortion, right? Considering most abortions are had by teens/ young adults and women over 40.
But what do you expect from a State that will execute a mentally challenged human being?

The classic "burning building" paradox (which I used to love to torment Amicus with)....you're inside a burning "in vitro" fertilization clinic. You face a hellish choice: rescuing a single one year old toddler or a dozen frozen fertilized embryos.

You can't save both.

What do you choose? Who do you save?

I said unambiguously I'd save the toddler. Amicus used to get all BotanyBoy-esque, attempting to redefine the scenario, redefine words, deflecting all over the place to avoid directly answering the question.

"The only moral abortion is MY abortion"

There was a great essay over in Salon about a mother/daughter combo that used to harangue doctors every single day outside of the abortion clinic they worked at.

Then, lo and behold, the daughter had a bun in the oven and became a patient of the doctor.

He though, good, now she knows what it's like to be in that situation, she's seen the light....

...hardly.

Two weeks later, they were back out there on the front lines, doing teh Lord's work once more.

A multi-purpose vessel.

Woman was put on Earth to birth a man's babby, and carry a man's spunk from the marital bed to the toilet. Jeebus said so.

Wow, that's some fucked up conditioning right there.

There has always been a tension in pro-lifers claiming that "abortion is murder," while at the same time insisting that these murderers not be treated like Ted Bundy. And that has always been a strictly political calculation, based on the realization that hardly anyone actually believes that having an abortion is on the same level of moral seriousness as killing a person who lives and breathes.

But of course, once you concede that "no, I don't want the woman to be punished," you're admitting that it's not really murder, because murder is by definition something that a healthy society must punish.

Good.....there needs to be places for morons of every flavor.

Let that derp congregate there.

No man except for the father of a minor girl should have any say about a woman obtaining an abortion unless he is willing to be totally castrated.

The pro-life Republican committee chairman of the pro-life Republican who introduced the Kill Teh Slut abortion bill announced yesterday that he would not allow a vote out of committee, because killing sluts is antithetical to his pro-life viewpoint.

He was immediately targeted with death threats from his fellow pro-lifers.

I hope that was her word, not yours.

"Git out of my womb, parasite."

Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time.
Women should stop having sex with men.

As all heterosexual sex is consensual, all pregnancies are the women's responsibility.

Good. Abortion is evil and disgusting
Non-marital sex is sinful.

My thread: animal rights and fetal rights :D
