Friends tell me the best experiences of outwardly shopping for bras and panties. What stores are easier to just blend in?

Presumably you mean for yourself? I’m not sure you will blend in but I imagine the staff will be mostly sympathetic and professional ( I’m keeping my fingers crossed about that ). Where roughly in the world are you?

I’m in KY. Have shopped at Lane Bryant and Torrid before, super nervous, and have not been in a long time, trying to work up the nerve again. Love the idea of a woman helping my buy panties.

I go in numerous stores. I measure myself and ask the girls what would fit best. Some must know why I'm there but its fine. I have panties on when I go in anyway. I can't get bras to fit me right. Wish I could. I have tried all kinds and sizes.

I have been shopping on Amazon. I have to go to a nearby city to find a store that sells lingerie.

I love wearing women’s undies but not the outer wear. I’ve never gone shopping for them in public. I’ve always bought them online.

But it does sound like it be fun to go to a women’s store and shop. I wonder how the workers would react when I went to the changing area to try them on? LOL!

I go to whatever store has what I want, whether that is a department store, Victoria's Secret, or anywhere else. I have never been embarrassed about it, but then I go dressed in full female attire as I no longer own any male clothing.

hi

I shop in Walmart & Target for common everyday items, nylons, panties, bras, even clothes... they have a great return policies, with receipts … Lane Bryant, and Dress Barn too for clothes... they have outstanding sales....

Shopping Christmas for my wife

Good for you... love shopping in fem mode.. Kohls is a great store too

It was Christmas 1998 and I was actually shopping for a leather skirt for my wife that she wanted. I was already out to here about being a crossdresser and the year before she gave me a dozen Victoria Secret panties and some satin sleepware. So I wanted togo out on my own and actually get her something nice this year. I had my wife's measurements in case I wanted to by other things as well

I stopped by a leather store that only sold leather skirts dresses and vests, it wasn't all that crowded, in fact I think I might have been the only customer two the shop had at that time. I pretty much could tell where the skirts were and they were hanging in groups by size so picking out the one I wanted to buy was pretty easy....even a guy could do it. I double check the inside of the skirt to make sure the size matched the tag and I was good to go with the purchase.

I had to wait for the other shopper to complete her sale and get "checked Out"....the same small talk "Did you find everything you were looking for" being kind of my first time buying women's things in a store I guess the mid 20's sale clerk could see a bit of nervousness. I told here yes I was able to find what my wife wanted and we were able to finish the sale with out much more small talk. she asked if I wanted a gift box and I told her yes and thanked her for asking that, and she slid the box into the bag and handed it to me with a cute smile.

I took the bag and wished her a Merry Christmas...(We did that back then) and she did the same, I turned and started walking out I got a few steps away from the counter when she said "I bet that will look good on you" I turned and with a surprised look said....."It's really is for my wife" and continued walking out....

several days later I was back at the mall finishing up my Christmas list and peeked into the shop to see if that clerk was there... alas she wasn't. I thought the whole experience was fun, even if she thought the skirt was for me.....and looking back I should have bought one for myself....but figured if I bout two in different sizes she's figure one was for me.

Dark fantasy

You should have said "I was wondering that myself". "Can I try it on and get your opinion".
The start of many fantasies begin with a compliment.

I buy my bras & panties for myself in various stores. As long as I am polite and discrete, I never have a problem. The ladies are keen to make a sale and are happy to help.

I've tried to be quiet about my panty wearing in public. At home I can cut lose. We generally keep it in whispers in public. But one of the most exciting moments was when I didn't get to buy any. We were at a Target store and we walked past a rack of lacey panties and she plucked up a pretty pair of powder blue undies and said, "what do you think of these?"

"I like them. They're very pretty. "

Then she shocked me by holding them up to my pelvis asking, "You think they'd fit?"

I blushed and smiled. She was teasing. "Maybe next time. "

Why did you blush? I would have said either "of course" or "I hope so", but then I would have been dressed as woman while out shopping just like I am any other time.

I'm not blatant about it. I have a professional and associations situation that requires discretion with the personal choices. She only does that when she knows she can get away with making me self conscious in public. And she knows the minor embarrassment is a turn on.

Omg, I love shopping for my lingerie.
I love going to VS and touching all that beautiful fabric.
The sales girls are fun too, they know I am there for myself and are very helpful.
I think they are having a wonderful panty sale this week.

We have LaSenza stores here. I find the staff are always super helpful. They understand that we men are out of our element when we shop there but I also get the feeling that they are very impressed and maybe even a bit jealous that the woman in my life has a man who's interested enough in her to go that far out of his comfort zone to get something so personal for her.

Make sure know her size and have at least some idea of her likes and dislikes and what you're looking for so you don't make yourself look like a total dufus, or worse some sort of a pervert looking for a cheap thrill. I would imagine they see their fair share of that too and will drop you like a limp dick if they feel you're not sincere.

Agree fully with you. I have bought all my wife's underwear for the past 33 years. If she buys she buys boring stuff so I took over that job.

99% of the time the shop assistants are super helpful.

I buy my satin panties at Walmart or Target. I don't hide that they are for me and if my wife is with me anyone would know that they are not hers since they are far too big for he (she never wears any anymore anyway). If you are embarrassed to buy your own, just go through the self checkout and no-one will know anyway.

Anyone else miss the 90's lingerie? The big department stores in the US from then? Satin, nylon and lace in what today would be considered granny panties or grandma bras? High cut, full coverage and all that. These stores, the ones still in business like JCPenney, no longer really offer those. Fuck I kind of miss the 90's.

Yes, so much to touch and swoon over.
