Wax play

Safe types to use on nipples?
Any low heat candles. If you are in the US, the regular white household candles that everybody stores in case power goes out, are the type. Stay away from beeswax! And from any color/aroma additives - they change the melting temp and you never know who is allergic to what. Your sub most likely will not know it too - they never tried this crap on their skin and it is not intended for that.

For ANY type of candle - check it on yourself first. If the drops feel hot, but OK on your palm, it is safe for stomach and chest/breasts. If it is OK on the inner side of your wrist, it can go on nipples and genitals.

Thank you, will they sell them in sex shops? Going for some nipple implements tomorrow.

Yes, they will, for about 10 times more than your local hardware store ;)
But I would still selfcheck first - I don't trust labels that much and it is really easy to check. Usually sex shops sell candles as a set and different colors might have different melting temperatures. If your sub have never done this before, I would start with the lowest temp and see how that goes.

Good luck! Wax is fun to play with.
(you do know about potential clean-up problems, right?)

Soy wax I would say is the safest. It has a low melting point and more importantly cools the quickest when it contacts a body. Have fun!

Would always recommend buying your candles from reputable sex shops rather than anywhere else. That way you know that they are at least intended for use on the body. Even so, test them on yourself first, and test them at varying distances from your skin. Don't assume it won't burn your or your partner just because it was made to be used for waxplay. Have fun!

No!! Beewax has very high melting point, you absolutely don't want to use this! At least not the first time.

Soy Candles - melt at around 46-57 °C
Paraffin Candles - melt at around 47-65 °C
Beeswax Candles - melt at around 62-65 °C

The huge range for paraffin is due to the additives - colors and aromas. Regular white candles from the corner store are on the lower end. And that is where you want to be.

Don't use non-drip candles -- they also have a very high melting point and could cause a bad burn.

sorry, checked it...we have a specific candle with a melting point of 39 degs...

I actually really like regular temp candle wax - but it can be poured from higher up so it cools a bit on the way to your skin.

I’ve read that putting massage oil or coconut oil on skin first helps with clean up. Not sure if that’s true. But clean up does suck

2nd on just adjusting the pour height if the temp is too high

It's a wonderful sensation, go for it

We use the simple tea light candles. No fragrances though. We don't want to be sick with headaches and the like.
