When I was younger. One of my best friends was abducted and murdered. When they found her body. We all decided to plant a tree at our elementary school in her memory. Yesterday I got to see that that tree is flowering. Got to love springtime ❤ It makes me happy to see the flowers.

I had a friend who was murdered as well. Not a fun memory to carry around, so having that tree flowering as a symbol of that young girl has to be, at least a little bit, cathartic!

Thank you everyone. 
I go twice a year, unless I'm in the area already. I go on the anniversary of her Kidnapping, and Memorial day (Since it's by the Cemetery where my Grandparents are buried, and I go there every year) But I like this time of year because of the flowers. There was also a book written about the struggles her Mom went through after all this. Her Dad killed himself not long afterwards because he knew she was never coming home.

I loved Washington when I was there almost a year and a half ago, I could live there. I know I didn't see all the beauty the state has to offer..........like you......in a wet, white T-shirt.
