So I inched over the finish line recently with 100 forum posts (only took me 5+ years!), thereby earning an avatar and the ‘Really Experienced’ title. And I was able to upload the same avatar pic to my profile via the new Control Panel, yet the designation under my profile pic still says ‘Virgin’. Is this a known inconsistency?

I see "really experienced" on both the forum and your public profile. Maybe things just didn't all update at the same time.

Yeah, it’s ‘Really Experienced’ on my Forum profile but not my Control Panel. Since no one else can see my Control Panel, the question could only be answered by someone who may have observed a similar quirk on their own main profile. I hit 100 posts over 2 months ago, so it shouldn’t be a transient system updating issue. I suppose it’s ultimately a non-issue if I’m the only one who can see the problem.

It seems ther eis a glitch in the systems. There is a problem with the updating of your profiles between the two. They have been working on it but so far no luck. There is a way to do it but i don't remeber what it was. It's in one of the old threads on updating profiles.

Welcome to the madhouse. Stay around here long and you will havew far more posts that 100 in 5 years. ;)

Frustrated and still a Virgin!

Hey ya' all from Virginia. This is my first post on Forums after being a Literotica member.

I've had a dickens of a time getting settled in. I'm posting here under MightyMan105 but my preferred handle is ManAmorous.

I've published 4 stories so far including in the "April's Fool" contest just completed.

I have a problem I've had a dickens of a time to resolve.

I've forgotten my password for ManAmorous and can't seem to get back to my account. Each time I'm sent a return email to re-establish my password I just get another password entry screen. Any ideas? I've even tried PM to Manu.

Have you tried deleting the cookies and restarting the computer and then trying to get your password? Maybe that will work.

Hey ya' all from Virginia.
I vaguely recall a funny old (ca. 1974) F&SF story, Here and There and Never-Never, set in contemporary Australia. A naive young USA missionary has gone outback to convert Abos. Right. He runs into a grizzled Ozzie who calls him a Yank. "Sir," he replies testily, "I am a Virginian." The old guy looks around at the infinite barren waste. "Well, you sure come to the wrong place to lose it."

Few virgins or Virginians are nearby. But we have Vogans as well as vegans.

Well good news and not yet good news.

Have regained control of my ManAmorous account. Didn't have to remove cookies, either. However, still can't get access to the Forum as ManAmorous.

Looks like for the time being I'll be an author as ManAmorous and Forum participant as MightyMan105.

Thanks for your help.

BTW..Does anyone know where there was a Forum thread for people to discuss the April Fool's Contest?

Thanks again,
ManAmorous (MightMan105)

Douglas Adams' Sirius Cybernetics Corp. must have designed this site. I have 58 posts in less than a month and I am "Experienced". Cue music, Jimi Hendrix "R U Experienced".

After scads more posts, you can transcend 'experienced' and proceed to 'bored' or 'astronomical' or 'slithery' or whatever. Goo-goo g'joob.
