Just as racistly misleading as the "Kid can’t attend school because he have dreads" thread, since CA is talking about banning smartphone use at school for ALL kids, just like the school dress code in the above mentioned thread applies to ALL kids, not just to black kids whose racist supporters lie like Jussie Smollett.

If CA does ban ALL smartphone use on its campuses, no doubt it won't be long after that smoothg103rd posts a thread about how racist it is that a CA school won't let a black kid listen to the latest Colin Kaepernick Injustice Hour podcast over his phone on school grounds.

Here in Texas they banned any 'n all cell phones and pagers back from schools in the 1990s, becoz only drug dealers and their mules used them. That ban was later quietly rescinded after white America realized the value of cell phones, but there are still quaint reminders on road signs outside of school zones reminding people of the tawdry origins of cell phones.

I have no trouble with kids putting cellphones in designated storage lockers at the beginning of the school day, and collecting them after school. It's a convenience. I remembering lining up to use a pay phone after football and basketball practice to call the folks to pick me up after practice.
