marginalising people we don't like always drives them into the arenas of the haters where they are welcomed or, at least, not ignored. the trouble is, how do we stop marginalising people with such horrible views? i'd love to have the ability/patience/stamina to be able to show them a different viewpoint they could embrace, but i just don't. this happens in society on a far wider stage - the mentally ill, the ill-educated, the hate-indoctrinated, those determined to be nasty bastards no matter what... people usually try but then fail to bring them into a kinder society, and so they get pushed to the edges where there are always others waiting to sell them their brand of hatreds.

Que couldn't continue to google up local info on the shooting to maintain beew's backstory AND keep up his 100+ shitpist weekend quota.
