A Disarray of Democrats!

I wouldn’t say the Democrats have a “broad field”. Most are going to be running on some type of Socialistic agenda. I didn’t like Joe Biden as VP. He’s spineless and, as president, he would be like having Obama in office again. Bernie Sanders looks like the scientist from “Back to the future” and has one foot in the grave. Both of them have the charisma of Freddy Kruger.
Collectively, the Democrats don’t have a clear message or reasonable agenda, only pipe dreams. I’ll be voting for Trump again. 🌷Kant

Wait for the later entries before you pick the Orange Meanie! There may be a (not a Nazi) that will break free of the Establishment and actually propose something that will help. Not that I'm holding my breath.

It would be great if you didn't quote Kant. Since you have, I'll note that Kant seems to be absolutely clueless about Kant's own self-interest, so I wouldn't bother with logic at all with this one. Dumb is as dumb posts.

Democrats have to be careful. They're party is big, have more members, etc., but, they also have opposing views within their own House. The rise of the Democratic-Socialist could lead to a split in the future (how near, who knows) but Republicans and Democrats need each other, without the other, they only have themselves to fight, which helped lose them the last election. 1 in 10 Sanders supports voted Trump.

Democrats have always been a coalition. I expect nothing less from them but to battle with each other before picking a candidate. What the Democrats need to do is for Tom Perez to make it clear if Bernie is a Democrat or not.

I'm never seen Republicans this divided. Long time conservatives like George Will are critical of Trumpism.

I’m not holding my breath. Trump has a strong economy, low unemployment, the tax reform and a strong base - all working for him. I don’t agree with some of the things he does, but the North Korean missiles aren’t flying like they were. He strong armed a new trade deal with Canada and Mexico that was out dated. It could have been better, but still better than what we had. Regardless of how you feel about “the wall”, you have to agree strong borders are necessary by any definition. He is right to say we need immigration reform. Sadly, neither Republicans or Democrats alike can agree on shit. Yes, the media hates him.

He’s probably the most investigated president in our history. He does have all his facts or ducks in a row, but who does at this stage in the game going in to 2020? Overall, everyone keeps saying he unpredictable, but pretty much everything he said he would do, he at least attempted it: with or without help from Congress. (I.e, pull us from the TPP, stand up to China’s theft of IP, renegotiate NAFTA, reform/lower taxes, turn the economy around, and a host of other things.

As far as attempting to accomplish campaign promises, I can’t think of a president since Jimmy Carter that tried to fulfill as many of his campaign promises. With the deck stacked against Trump from all the investigations and media, I still think he’s going to be a 2 term president, considering since Carter only served 1 term. I just hope Trump’s 2nd term will be filled with less drama. 🌷Kant

Apparently the DNC has required a pledge this time of being a Democrat to run with the Democrats and Bernie signed that pledge. So, Perez's work seems to be to watch whether Bernie and his fans do anything for the Democratic slate other than be badmouthing parasites and give him the boot if he wants it both ways as he did last time while dirtying the nest.

Except that he is a very useful idiot for KGB Colonel Putin. I've heard that in private Trump refers to him as Vlad the Impaler. Must be an inside joke. He along with the people who want all the money in the world are attempting a new world order. As an American, I never got to vote on such a drastic plan because he keeps it all to himself. He separates families and locks kids in cages were many are sexually assaulted. Do you think it's a good idea to create enemies?

Keith I don't draw from anything scientific, just what I've cleaned from facebook. Democrats are bitter and flat out blame Bernie for Trump, they hate him. They are as obstinate as Trump supporters.

I think it needs to be addressed again by Bernie and Perez that the end result must be to defeat Trump.

Bernie should commit to fully supporting that candidate with the best chance to beat Trump.

Sanders reportedly declared in a Saturday speech in Iowa that he'd support the Democratic candidate, whoever that is.

I'm not opposed to Sander's platform. But Sanders has been in the Senate for a long time without having gotten anything done. He has no network. He needs to get in solid with Democrats and develop a history of accomplishment based on mutual support or voting for him will have the same effect as voting for a lamppost.

I'll be surprised if Sanders gets the nod. He's old, he's controversial even within the party (of which he's never technically even been a member) and it's usually the Republicans who nominate the one who came in second last time.

Whoever does get it will be running against the most uniquely reviled incumbent in modern history, strong economy or no, and anyone tempted to cast a protest vote for some left-wing third party will have the world's biggest incentive not to.

As I've said before, there is not a valid candidate ... yet. For now, it's "None of the above".

Vote for me. I'll solve all of the problems, but I won't tell you how until I'm in.

Kant's problem is too much Metal --- damages the brain. I like metal, but in moderation.

And then there's the hairspray.

Both 'parties' need to get a clue. They spew nonsense, but neither gets down to the ground level people. They do mass gatherings, but none of them campaign in small towns like the old train platform type stuff. You can't see any of them without traveling to a big city or paying thousands of dollars for a 1 oz salmon nibble on a plate.

There's a thing in Nebraska with farmers against Deere for making it so difficult to work on their own machinery in the fields without having to wait for a dealer tech to reset codes so the large equipment will run. Will ANY of the candidates get involved in that?

What about TVA and the Corps of Engineers deliberately flooding smaller communities to keep more affluent communities dry?

What about tackling Bezos?

1) they are no longer a coalition, the liberal vs. socialist divide has become stark and combative since 2016.

2) Trumpism isn't a thing...socialism is, and EVERYONE in the GOP is on the same page against it, that is bad fucking news for the socialist who are trying to run all the moderate democrats/social liberals out of the DNC.

They shouldn't be getting down to ground level people....that's the state/municipal governments job.

Republicans already want to lift all those eco-regulations the left forced Deere to put on their products under penalty of law.

Consumers just need to pay up or go hungry and enjoy all those taxes and regulations at the register of their whole paycheck foods. ;)

What about Bezos? Does his success make you angry???:D

I don’t have problems. They’re not worth keeping. It’s what I’m doing that is a problem to others. Now, who has the problem? Not me, I’m comfortable with life because it’s too short to worry about things beyond my control.

What about tackling Bezos?

That’s best off left to his wife and the divorce lawyer. I’m sure he’ll still be one of the richest guys in the world after he loses half of his money, but on the plus side, his soon to be ex wife will probably become one of if not the richest women in the world.

What about Trumpism is a thing. Its unbridled capitalism driven by greed, enabled by corruption and fascism.

We'll see who/what comes out of this. Early days yet and a lot of the possibilities look just fine to me.

The Dems and independents against Trump need to adopt Reagan's mantra. Thou shall not speak badly of any legitimate candidate running against Trump.

I'll keep my thoughts about Bernie to myself.

The field is so wide at the moment there's no way to tell what's going to happen.

I'm thinking Amy Klobuchar is going to be a Dark Horse. I like that she described her ideology as "Pragmatic."

I like Klobuchar but I can't get passed her missed opportunity to fall on Kavanaugh like a house when he asked her if she had ever blacked out.

I thought her pregnant pause and "What planet are you on, little boy?" gaze at him was what brought her favorably into the public eye. So far I am most drawn to her and Kamala H. I think most of those running are either in for public exposure (like Trump was) or are running for VP.

I'm not second guessing her actions. As it was happening my mind was screaming at her to remind him that as a United States Congresswoman she was asking him questions on behalf of American citizens as part of the checks and balances of true democracy. She could have also reminded him that purpose of the hearing was to determine if he had the proper judicial temperament to be a supreme.

That was the time for the D's to say, enough of this shit. But she allowed him to ramble cry and play the victim and the partisan jerkoffs from the right jumped right in to spin their narrative. Dems should have treated Kavanaugh like they did Anita Hill.

A missed opportunity.
