Story Themes You Rarely See

Ha; another 'rare theme' I can check off. In real life, it's not something one uses in his/her standard introduction ritual, but once you get the opportunity to look deeper into the background of people...

Unless you make an intriguing freak out of someone, readers may not like it. Category 'premature ejaculation', 'small size', 'femdom', ... scary stuff

I collided with a few sexual scenarios that required wisdom and a soft touch, as when a patient reveals damning facts about someone you know well. In one case a woman came to see me and wanted to suicide over perverted acts she was involved in. Her husband (my oldest friend) made her participate then got grossed out from what she did. When he learned she had talked to me it was the end of our old friendship, and none of relatives will talk to me to this day. I'll never reveal her deeds, but she was right when she called them nasty.

Going back a few years, I wrote the story series 'Jehovah's Witness Romance' because I could not find any Literotica stories involving Jehovah's Witnesses. I searched all sorts of tags, and while I did find some stories with a religious theme such as one where a Jewish cougar seduces and has a threesome with two young male Mormon missionaries, I did not find a single JW story. I can't believe that I was the first author to think that erotic fiction about good looking JW's would be a good idea, surely somebody must have written about JW's before but not tagged their story in a way that one could find it.

Within my 'Jehovah's Witness Romance' stories I also made one of the characters Holly an albino, because I could not find a single real world story with an albino character. There are sci-fi, fantasy and supernatural stories that have albinos in them, but never could I find a realistic story involving an albino person.

I wrote a story about an attractive young Amish couple on a honeymoon cruise--letting their hair down (so to speak). I got criticism about the Amish never going on cruises. The kicker is that I wrote the story about a young Amish couple I observed on a cruise doing pretty much what I wrote they were doing. But you don't see that story theme often, I don't think.

Certainly not ringing at the door of my flat in the middle of the day with a bible and pack of other papers in the hand.

However, there was a smoking hot teenage redhead escorted by a strict looking but very nicely slender blonde in mid twenties. I invited them in and we talked for well over an hour. Back then I had quite a hobby discussing religion with various shady types: I stopped by approached by Hare Krishna booksellers, even had visited conspiratorial flat of Holy Family of Mun; nice girls from Jehovah's Witnesses was relatively tame and pure fun to have. I flirted and teased the girl and she was blushing and giggling for silent anger of her guardian. Too bad, or perhaps thank God, it was in fact my mother's flat or else... well, what I would have loved to do in a world without consequences would be to bound and gag the blonde and make her watch me having fun with the redhead... But alas, I safely and politely escorted them out, never to be seen again.

Other rare themes: Sex just before the plane crashes. Human sex viewed by encircling timberwolves. Sex in joined space suits. Sex after being shrunk down. Sex in a police station or guitar factory or grain silo. Sex with kobolds in mines.

Well, I think and hope those are rare themes. Maybe they're popular. I dunno.

A work a theme or two I think are a little unusual.

The sex from a distance theme, e.g, sex through a window on the nose-bleed floor of a skyscraper between the apartment occupant and a window cleaner, and, as I've recent done in another one, sex across distances such as between windows across a street in facing skyscrapers or on balconies across town. I also do a lot of sex extending into artwork--i.e, artists painting a subject after exhaustive sex or sex in front of a TV set running a porn film when a character is one of the pair both on the film and watching the film.

I don't know who else here has taken the night train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai or from Aswan to Cairo, but I recently wrote a story of train-assisted sex on the Bangkok to Chiang Mai run--sex in a narrow sleeper berth with the clicking of the train's wheels over rough rails helped provide the rhythm and the lurching and swaying of the train over the rough grade assisted with the thrusts.

I've seen quite a few "groped by a stranger on a train" kind of stories, but that's a different kind of "train-assisted" to what you're talking about.

Grain silo? The idea might sound fun, but in practice - yikes! In my experience, anything used in grain handling has an atmosphere so full of dust, you would gum up any damp, exposed orifice instantly. To say nothing of utterly fearless rodents.

I'm sure there are plenty of police station stories, fwiw.

I just submitted my foster sibling story to Literotica, it's called 'Perving On Natalie's Knickers', is set in Melbourne Australia in 1990 and has the description 'Fixated by my foster sister's panties'.

I'll be interested to see how readers react to it when it is published, given it may be the first foster sibling story on Lit. I put it in the category 'Exhibitionist & Voyeurism' as voyeurism is the main focus of the story. It could have fit into Fetish, and I toyed with putting it in Incest/Taboo, but in that category they seem to like erotica between people who share DNA, and these characters obviously don't.

Recently I posted an Incest/Taboo story about stepsisters (The Squabbling Stepsisters) and while it got plenty of views and a number of readers nominated it as a favorite, it generally scored poorly and most of the comments were negative. Maybe the fact that the two girls weren't blood relatives had something to do with it?

Yes.

I threw an entire convent's worth of nun sex into my 2014 Halloween entry, but it was literally a one-line appearance.

I wouldn't normally do nuns, of course (although I'm working on a bi anthology, so maybe), but no problem with priests.

It's good to know that my "One Night in XXX" story won't be that far out on a limb.

I get 59 pages in that search too, but I spot-checked a few stories and a lot of them simply mention "nun," as in "dry as a nun."

I narrowed the search down to the tags and came up with 201 stories. That's out of 427,000+ stories -- less than 1 in 2000. I don't now how other topics would fare in comparison.

How rarely do you use art or music in your erotica as key themes?

I think a lot of people have used music.

The female protagonist in my most successful story is a ballet dancer, and the backdrop of the story is the drama within and surrounding a ballet company. Opera might be similar.

My longest story has a wanna-be playwright as the male protagonist, and what I intended to be the climax is a monologue that he wrote about himself, delivered by one of the female protagonists.

I could see writing a story about an aspiring graphical artist, but that would be a lot like writing a story about a waitress.
