I couldn't think of a better name. It starts when I'm halfway there. I've only had a couple of these in the past, where the closer you are to climaxing, the more pain the head goes through, even after orgasm..

But for the last 3-4 nights, not only did I get a headache, but they've lasted all night long and into the next day, despite not masturbating at all until about 10pm. The only difference is that I've been using a doll, and not my hand, and even in the last two nights, I ended up using my hand to finish, but no difference.

If anyone has any tips, I'd (and others) appreciate it. I'm thinking of abstaining, and hoping it doesn't affect my sleep... I have a strong painkiller, but it only helps the headache for a short while until I take the next one.

You could have a sinus infection. Happened to me as well in the past. It was so bad onetime I actually got physically sick from the pain. I didn't feel like I had a plugged up sinus, but that's what it was for me.

Did you just wait it out? Or did you find something successful? How long was it before things got ok again?

I abstained yesterday, but I had a headache this morning, but too afraid of a worse headache. Painkillers help, but I can only take so many.

Went to the doctor, he had me checked out and gave me some antibiotics and it cleared it right up. I knew something was really wrong because I never get headaches, so it freaked me out a bit.

Sexual headache is actually a recognised phenomena. There are various names for it including 'coital headache' and 'coital cephalgia'. The cause of these headaches is not known but they can come on during or after sexual activity including masturbation. It is a benign condition (meaning there is nothing harmful behind it) although the symptoms can be debilitating in more severe cases.

You don't need antibiotics for a true sexual headache. However, it sounds as if you must have been otherwise unwell. All types of headache have a tendency to get worse during any kind of physical activity and sometimes this is the first way in which you notice any symptoms.

Just to be on the safe side have your blood pressure checked. It could be an issue as well. Do you already have high blood pressure?

The last time I saw a doctor was 2010, and was put on high-blood pressure and cholesterol medicine, but was about to embark on a long trip, so I just stopped taking them.

I have never gotten a headache as you describe. I quite often get a stuffy sinus condition right after I cum. It usually doesn't last more than a few minutes.

So this is gonna be a weird ass question but... are you loud? If I try to be quiet I get tension headaches. It's not specifically about sex, it's that if you have chronic tension headaches any strong emotion or strong physical thing will bring them on and they can hurt like a motherfucker. So if you're in a situation where you need to release tension, like by screaming, and you don't, you can get those.

Which is... an awkward decision to make, sometimes.

I get these... Or rather I *USED* to get these.

But I only got them if I tried edging for a while or if I didn't masturbate for a few days.

Anything more than 3 days and, yup... Headache.

When I went to the doc and explained it, he said it was the blood pressure that does it.
I don't suffer with headaches or high BP normally, but building up sexually obviously raises mine for some reason.

I'm not on any meds for it now. I just don't go too long without release. *shrug*
