Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) warned the Democratic Party establishment Friday that supporters of the socialist Green New Deal are now “in charge.”

“If you don’t like the #GreenNewDeal, then come up with your own ambitious, on-scale proposal to address the global climate crisis,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a social media post.

“Until then, we’re in charge – and you’re just shouting from the cheap seats”

So, what's really going on here? I don't understand why Miss Cortez garners so much attention and has so much influence. I see a young,pretty Hispanic girl with no bona fides. She got less than 16,000 votes. There are some comparatively smarter and more experienced congressmen, whom we never hear about. I think she's a media darling with a big mouth who contributed to the loss of a potentially huge economic investment in New York. The effect of Amazon's pullout will have huge ramifications. Personally, I thought it was dumb for Amazon to even consider locating in New York given their anti-business attitude.

What she's done is picked at a scab that's always been there and opened the wound. She blurts this new statement out only hours after the party elites slapped her down. Obviously she's not going to shut up.

The democrat party is now made up of a collection of "victim" groups along with the more radical "Social Justice" warriors. Obama kicked the blue collar worker, the traditional core of the party, to the curb long ago. AOC is now in the process of creating internecine warfare within the party making it even harder for the elites to reclaim their traditional base.

Where AOC wants to go is actually where the democrat politicians in general want to go. She's really not all that out of line with their thinking. It's just that the older, and wiser, party elite understand that the electorate is not ready to go there yet. The traditional democrat game has been incrementalism, not bold leaps. Fortunately for the republicans AOC has taken the Maoist 'bold leap' paradigm to heart. I can only hope that a few other representatives of token "victim" groups follow her lead.

Bottom line is that the improbable coalition of so many groups, often with contrary agendas, is starting to fracture.

So to all of you conservatives out there, find the fringe representatives in the democrat party and twitter your full support.

Ahhh, Pelosi. That bitch is vindictive towards anyone that crosses her. AOC is going to pay, but not until after the next election and by then the damage will have been done.
