Increased global climate change causes ocean waters to be warmer than is usual- frees up more moisture (represented by hot tea kettle spout producing steam) which travels inland, because of the storm.

A storm system is supplemented with more moisture than is locally available.

Where to begin. Let’s set aside the fact that wind chill is a meaningless way to assess cold weather; I don’t actually expect Trump to know that. We can also ignore the fact that he misspelled warming. The obvious thing to focus on is that he once again said something mind-numbingly incorrect about climate change. Except, we don’t have to focus on that, either, because Trump tweeted something similarly idiotic last week, too. (He managed to spell warming right that time.) That tweet kicked off a round of patient fact-checks explaining for the one-zillionth time that climate and weather are different, that cold weather will continue to happen even as the planet warms, and that, in fact, it might get even colder in some places sometimes thanks to climate change. As Trump himself said in last week’s tweet, it’s “amazing how big this system is.”


The sad thing about this tweet isn’t even the deliberate misrepresentation of facts. That’s par for the course from the only world leader who doesn’t accept the science on climate change. It’s the tone of it that grates—the taunt inherent to “please come back fast, we need you!” In the midst of constant chaos and tragedy and stupidity, it is easy to forget that one of the greatest costs of the Trump presidency is the opportunity cost—the loss of these four years in which we could have been taking action on one of the most serious threats facing humanity and instead walked backward. This tweet is frustrating not only because it’s wrong—it’s frustrating because it is cruel. People are already dying from global warming. The longer we wait, the worse it will get. But to the president, it’s just a punchline.

The left... Oh my God... Some of you actually must be off your meds. Not everyone, obviously, thank God, but a small handful of you honestly make me concerned for your own safety. The "warning" person in particular. And you might want to check your blood pressure at the very least...
 
Weatherman Al Roker shreds ‘nitwit’ Kentucky governor for refusing to cancel school during polar vortex

Meteorologist Al Roker on Wednesday lashed out at Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin (R) for refusing to cancel school to protect children from a so-called polar vortex that’s sweeping most of the nation.

During a radio interview on Tuesday, Bevin complained that children have become “soft” because school is cancelled too often for bad weather conditions.

“There’s no ice going with it or any snow,” Bevin said. “What happens to America. We’re getting soft, Terry, we’re getting soft.”

On Wednesday, Roker explained the risks of frostbite and hypothermia. And then the famous weatherman tore into Bevin.

“This nitwit governor in Kentucky, saying, ‘Oh, we’re weak,'” Roker complained on MSNBC. “These are kids who are going to be subzero windchills!”

That was a LEFT wing nut job channeling Hitler.
 
KY Gov Matt Bevin Thinks Kids Are 'Soft' For Not Freezing To Death

Kentucky's teabagging, gay hating, and cock-fighting Governor Matt Bevin (R, fucking duh) just called everyone a bunch of pussies because schools are closing due to it being negative fuck-your-face degrees throughout the Midwest. According to Bevin, "We're getting soft," because school officials thought it was too dangerous to make kids trudge through the polar vortex when cities like Chicago are literally colder than the basecamp at Mount Everest. So what if it's so cold people are getting frostbite in minutes, those little brats should man-up! Grow some chest hair, and Jack Frost will stop nipping at your lungs.
