Seemed a bit quiet today so I figured I’d spur some banter! What was the most depraved thought you had today? Anyone working on a new story?

Working on "Caught in Island Intrigue," which my muse dropped this morning when I thought I'd be working on something else. Another Sam Winterberry one set on the island of Martinique.

I just finished chapter 10 of “BFF” and posted it. Pretty sure it’s gonna sink like the Titanic in the cold waters of the North Atlantic when it goes live. Rejection isn’t a topic I feel will be received well on Lit. Still, I poured my heart and soul into a chapter that lays the groundwork for a relationship that spawns afterwards.

I writing two stories about the beginning of a love affair which will be the first entries I've had in Romance in a long time. I'm also writing about the end of the same affair but that might fit into a different category.

Not sure why I left out the middle so far but I'll get to it eventually.

I finished up the third chapter of a mainstream book and got a good start on chapter four. About 15K in with another 35k to go.

For Lit, I spent some time on two chapters of old stories that were really never meant to be chaptered. Trying to find a quick way to end the madness with both story lines. It ain't friggin working.

My husband and I went to amateur night at a strip club recently. It started me thinking about my dancing days, and some of the people I knew back then, their backstories, and some of the crazy thinks that went on at the club. So, I thought I'd like to write about all that when I finish my current series. (Which is likely to take me another year...)

Hawks are in another story cycle. It's big cats, in this one.

Hmm. Maybe you should put it in incest/taboo? Or perhaps loving wives, I think it would fit best there. I bet if you put a disclaimer at the beginning saying at everyone is *absolutely* over 18, it will be fine.

That makes sense. I can explain that they're 18 year old high school freshmen who've been held back a few years and whose development has been stymied by mysterious forces. I'm sure there would be no problem with that.

I’m in the same boat as you, MB. I kicked out the first chapter to “The Mantis” to test the waters in a different category, but, realistically, I want to finish “BFF” before I delve into the new storyline - like you probably another year

Well, I'm working on a new dark fantasy erotica series. And so I had the depraved thought of "How many characters can get fucked by demons and killed before it's too dark?"

I feel you. Just resubmitted chapter 1 of my 7+ chapter story. It's more of a build up chapter, so no graphic depictions of sex which may not land well for people just looking to rub one out.
