I don't know about the labels... but I believe any compassionate Nation would have a well regulated border, instead of this situation of coyotes abandoning truckloads of dying people in the desert, families crossing busy freeways, etc. Call it a gateway, but build something.

We have such gateways at all the major border crossings. People cross at other places because they know they wouldn't be allowed through the gateways. The fault is with our quota for legal immigration, which needs to be much higher than it is now.

Real MAGA hats are only available from Donald Trump. Anyone with a homemade or knockoff MAGA hat will be encouraged to purchase a real one.

Pink pussy hats are not branded or mass produced. People are encouraged to make their own.

Symbolism and jingoism is a fascinating human social quirk. I admit as a person who works with design and media that I find it enjoyable reading about how people are fundamentally shaped — controlled, even — through the language of basic marketing. I reckon the fun and quirkiness stops when people's shit gets fucked with, though. Then they gotta live with the consequences after the music dies. Decent folks or no.

I'm picturing a hat that says "America is a Racist Shithole", would that slogan/symbol be in closer alignment to your own feelings?

On the other hand, maybe just about any word(s)/symbol on a hat could be a symbol of hate for someone.

The MAGA slogan is a rallying cry for enthusiasm and optimism; it's what good leaders do. Naturally there are boors at conventions.
