I think Barr already went on the record (before anyone knew this story was dropping) saying that suborning perjury in such a way would be obstruction.

I am, however, skeptical that anything will ever move the Senate. GOP senators probably figure they're fucked either way (they can't turn on Trump openly because the base will never abandon him), so they might as well go down with the ship.

Trump's inexperience with politics is likely his biggest flaw in all of this. He only hires the best people, after all. Ironically, he may have actually done it this time.

"I told him how well I knew Bob Mueller and that the Barrs and Muellers were good friends and would be good friends when this was all over," Barr said. "Bob is a straight-shooter and should be dealt with as such."

While Barr said during his hearing that Trump "was interested" in hearing about the friendship, the details that emerged this week caught the President off guard, the three sources said. He bristled at Barr's description of the close relationship, complaining to aides he didn't realize how much their work overlapped or that they were so close.

Barr and Mueller are friends. They've worked together in the past. Their families are good friends. Trump had no clue how close they were. The doofus actually hired a good family friend of the person he fears the most to watch over the person he fears the most.

And we haven't even discussed Giuliani's disaster of an interview yet when he refused to deny the Trump campaign colluded with Russia (which it is obvious they did).

We will know soon enough. And it’s an impeachable offense without question. And that’s too bad because Pence is a far worse option to imagine.
