Missing favourite writer

I’ve just discovered an error on my favourites list. I thought that the writer silkstockingslover was on my list but when I checked she wasn’t there. Thinking my memory was at fault I went to add her but when I did the response was she was already on my list. But she’s not on the list and so I’ve not received the notifications of her new stories.

What’s the answer?

Have you tried logging right out, purging your cache and browsing history, logging back in and trying again? It's possibly a cache glitch.

Can you let me know if you see the author on your Following list here:

I just followed the author and they immediately showed up in my Following list. I can't see activity until they do something, so it's a little difficult to test quickly. But, I'll dig around and see if I can find any reason they wouldn't show up in your Following list or activity.

And let me know if your Following number seems to be correct? There should be 10 users per page, so you can count the number of pages and then the number of items on the last page and then match that up with the number in the circle on the "Following" tab. The numbers only update once every few hours, so they won't be accurate if you have followed someone in the last few hours, but if you haven't followed anyone recently they should match up. If they don't match up, then that might help me track down the issue.

The problem has resolved itself and it has nothing to do with what I've done. It just happened!
