Many of these evangelicals sure love to lick his boots. Manchild doesn't even accord with Christ's teachings, but they stay kissing his ass. Yet, the previous family man was the anti-christ? It is quite telling.

They don't worship God, they worship genealogy (wink wink) and money.

I recall what Robert Anton Wilson wrote about that: "The way I read the story, it means that God does not draw class distinctions. But the way the priests told it, it meant you had to give something no matter how poor you were."
 
Literally could have been said by any current evangelical about 45.

Interviews are always paraphrased in print, or they'd be littered with "um", "ah" and broken phrases. Cause people don't converse like they write. Some less than others.

While Falwell’s comment may have been inartfully expressed, I think your characterization of Falwell is insipid. It is true that poor people generally do not employ others, nor, as individuals, do they donate significant sums to charity: they cannot. Been there and [not] done that. A statement of fact does not “attack” poor people.

Why do you want to falsely characterize Rev. Falwell?
