I finally took the leap and set myself up with a profile after years of just being a voyeur!

I used to post in the Texas thread, yes. I'm really from NC, so while I'm living here, I'm not really a Texan.

Well, you're lucky then, I guess.

It's taken me 6 years to successfully ward off private messages.

However, if you want private messages of any substance, the personals are not your best bet. Find a discussion thread catering to your likes and go post or socialize there. You are far more likely to make "a connection" amongst a group of established posters than you are here where the transients post.

(excuse me while I wretch ...I might have thrown up a little in my mouth at the thought of human interaction)
