I know there's a kik group. From what I know of.

Could we possibly start a discord server that only we have access too.

We can set it up and set up a password for only users to get into.

We can have a few moderators for the group. So no spam gets in.

Set up some different sections.

This is just an idea I have in mind. Would anyone like to join if it got created?

Let me know your thoughts and if you'd be interested. :)

I've tried Discord and eventually gave up. Too hinky for me.

I very much like this idea, I would like to join that endeavor.

think the sections might just set up like the forum sections perhaps?

I'm down for a Discord server. Can I mod a League of Legends chat room? :D

could be fun to just have random chat groups in voice vs text :)

A Duscord server is easy to set up for sure. Since spent a good bit of time working on a few discord servers in the past. So all suggest is possible for sure.

Your location says 'USA', so why are you posting in some gibberish crap language fragments?

Calm, down grammar nazi, 1 I'm on a phone, 2 its Christmas and I'm drunk and didn't feel like typing slow and diligently to express a simple statement. Yet it seems the Grammer Nazis are out in force even during this time of year.

How is discord different from other messaging apps please?

Well, it's nice for me because it tells all my friends if I'm actively playing a game and unavailable. Or it sends the message, "Hey, Chris is playing League. Maybe I can join in."

So, it's a very nice touch compared to every other messager out there.

It didn't work for me at all. I did try it with someone from here but we were never on at the same time. I've tried it with some other groups and for some reason, messages disappeared, I couldn't get into certain channels, couldn't PM people back. I spent more time getting it to work than using it. Our channels kept disappearing too!

I’ve never heard of this happening. Sucks, but if that happened to me then I wouldn’t use it either.

I dunno. At least you tried.

I tried Discord and it’s so confusing I couldn’t figure it out at all. I use Kik and Telegram as my staples with Telegram as the favoured option. When I remember to use them at all, that is.

To be fair, if somebody who used Apple products all their life opened Windows, they’d probably have a similar reaction.

But I guess the reason I found it valuable to invest my time learning it was because all my gaming friends used Discord. So, I had more incentive to want to use it.

If you know only one person who uses it, it may just not be for you.

But that doesn’t mean it should be dismissed as a platform. And the stats don’t lie. It’s userbase is growing at an incredible rate.

But in the end, it may not be for you.
