Thought I'd try this again...I think I may have put the first post in the wrong section

What are your senses, or what were your senses when you had that romantic encounter...

I see The beautiful blue sky
I hear an airplane overhead and puppies barking
I feel a very slight breeze, only if I sit back and really pay attention....
I taste the grapes I just ate
I smell the remnants of bacon....

Twist it up...

I see him standing there
I feel his breath on me
I hear his whispers in my ear
I taste the romance in the air
I smell his scent....the scent of desire....

Lets see if I get this right this time...lol

I see the burn on my hand, and am surprised that it doesn't hurt more.
I hear plastic grocery bags rustling in the kitchen, my son walking through the living room, and childen playing at the park across the street.
I feel the cool air on the exposed skin of my lower back between the hem of my shirt and the top of my jeans.
I taste coffee and pizza. :)o)
I smell a holiday-themed candle that smells like trees.

And all the world is football-shaped
It's just for me to kick in space
And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste
And I've got one, two, three, four, five
Senses working overtime
Trying to take this all in
I've got one, two, three, four, five
Senses working overtime
Trying to taste the difference 'tween a lemon and a lime
Pain and pleasure, and the church bells softly chime

Clever boy.

Also, annoyingly passive-aggressive.

Maybe I should have written down my sixth sense :)

I see beautiful flowers
I hear my lover working outside
I feel my heart beat as I think of last night
I smell his cologne
I taste that delicious meal I just had..

I think we have a lot of flexibility for interpretation and creativity within the boundaries you've already given us. :)
(Also, i maybe shouldn't have said that last bit. Sorry, y.:rose:)

I like the word 'lover.' Someone on the GB once snarked, 'I don't have boyfriends, i have lovers.' HA! :D I like the intimacy that implies, and not just physical. There is a scene in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves in which Little John's wife (and mother of his many children) greets him with, 'Hello, my lover.' The context of the scene made it a surprising thing for her to have said, and i liked it all the more for that very reason.

There is intent in that word... or so it feels to me. :) Thoughts?

For me, lover means something to else to everyone...the world is diverse...a lover could be a spouse, a friend, an online lover or friend...or someone that just makes you feel so good...and you both know it...

No worries. I try to quarantine lyrics, but they slip out sometimes

Sounds like songasidous my made up word for lyrics that get stuck in your head...

I see what I'm wearing tonight
I hear the water running
I feel the hands on my shoulders
I smell the intentions
I taste his kiss

I see Christmas lights glowing softly.
I hear instrumental Holiday music playing.
I feel the warmth of a cat curled up asleep on my lap.
I smell the scent of mulling spices coming from my favorite candle.
I taste the homemade chili that I made for dinner.

I see the gentle light, coming in through the window
I hear my deep breath
I feel the sensations running through my body..
I smell the morning air
I taste that first cup of coffee, its going to be a great day :)

I see....the trees swaying with the breeze as i gaze out the window.
I hear...Led Zeppelin blaring away on my speakers
I feel...the warmth of the lit candles from my altar
I smell...the incense that i am burning "Protection of the Gods"
I taste...The fresh coffee i am drinking

I see my dog chewing on his favorite toy
I hear football commentators on the TV
I feel my cat sleeping peacefully next to me
I smell the candles I have burning
I taste the chips and salsa I'm eating

I see my beautiful cat laying beside me
I hear her purring very loudly
I feel her soft fur under my hand
I smell catfood on her breath, silly cat
I taste the sweetness of this moment...

I see my water bottle and phone and my checkbook
I hear nothing but the ticking clock
I feel like I should put either the heat on, or a shirt
I smell nothing
I taste my vitamin from a few minutes ago

I see a message in my inbox
I hear the click of the keyboard
I feel happy and excited
I smell the situation
I taste the anticipation....

Or...

I see the blue sky
I hear dogs barking in the distance
I feel my heart beating
I smell the bacon in the background
I taste the great cup of coffee I just had...

I see the evening light through the blinds.
I hear the raindrops against my window and the water under the tires when cars drive by
I feel the fuzzy sheets against my skin and the weight of the blankets on top of me
I smell the faint aroma of my shampoo on my pillow
I taste spicy ginger tea

Or

I see ahead
I hear my inner voice
I feel unsteady but persistent
I smell opportunity and doors opening
I taste anticipation

I see my cat climbing the Christmas tree.
I hear a branch breaking because he’s kinda fat.
I feel relieved that the tree is still standing upright.
I smell fresh evergreen.
I taste a cherry candy cane that fell off and broke.

I see the cloudy sky that holds the memories of today
I hear the sounds of joy and the laughter.
I feel the happiness inside
I smell what is delicious....this.
I taste this wonderful moment.

I see the images in my mind of him
I hear the warning signs.
I feel the urges that I want to be with him
I smell the desire
I taste danger...
