How does this agreement differ from NAFTA? The story doesn't say.

Not by much. He really didn't get anything he wanted.
a 3% access to Canadian dairy market, the other 97% still has 300% duties on it

But yeah...groundbreaking

Oh, and Mexico got lower duties on auto's so GM could move there

Oh..he also got justatrudope to kiss his ass during the signing ceremony...so thats a big trump win

Yeah, to be more advantageous to the US, nummy.

See below. Some of us actually read the fucking article before popping off.

Dude, you're still fucking up.

He got a 3% increase in un-tariffed dairy products into Canada. It doesn't sound like much, but it's 3% more than we had under NAFTA.

He got Mexico to require that auto workers get paid at least $15/hr. Which is huge because it might slow down economic based illegal migration from Mexico if the wages there get better than they historically have been.

The deal requires that most of the parts for the cars made in Mexico/Canada use US manufactured parts rather than parts made in other countries.

In certain ways, products from China are excluded.

The new administration in Mexico is all in for the deal because it's good for them and good for the US.

Finally, agreements are a balance between interests. You get some of the things you want, they get some of the things they want. Trump made both Mexico and Canada bend.

Yet, you want to bitch and gripe about small changes instead of seeing that he actually got the US more than we had before.

You're still fucking up.

I love seeing these over-rated "Trump Effect" and "Winning" threads where we learn about how other countries are dealing with the village idiot until his corrupt ass is run out of office.

It’s irrelevant. Democratic House will not accept Trump’s half baked trade pact.

Which is great, but he’s selling it like it’s a paradigm shift and sunshine is beaming out of his ass, when in fact it is a tweak.

This bit’s got potential IMO. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

If a manufacturing based economy was something desirous to have, that would be great. Big fuckin’ if.
