Bathroom peeping

This has happened to me twice now. My bathroom is off of my bedroom. Both rooms have pocket doors and I have a habit of not shutting the doors. Now if I'm taking a shower, I will shut both doors partway. Why partway? My cats freak if they can't get in. And I only shut the doors at all because my gardener lives here so I was doing it so he couldn't see me. Or at least not as easily.

Now that I think about it, I was once in the living room talking to him and all of a sudden he decided to use the other bathroom. He just walked in there without shutting the door and still continued talking to me like this was a normal thing.

A few weeks back, I was on the toilet in my bathroom and both doors were open. I guess I don't usually bother to shut the doors when I just use the toilet because the design of the bathroom is such that the toilet isn't easily visible because it's on the other side of the free standing shower.

But he came in, walked partway into my room and struck up a conversation with me while I was on the toilet. I found this odd and yet I just carried on like it was perfectly normal.

Then earlier, he needed a ride. I told him just a min. because I needed to use the bathroom. Again, I didn't shut the door. This time he walked to my bedroom door and just stood there, appearing to look at me. Now maybe it's my imagination but that's exactly how it seemed.

He also lured my cats partway into my bedroom by putting cat treats just inside the door. He did this while I was sitting at the computer which is just outside of but near my bedroom door.

Now I'm not even sure where I'm going with all of this. And perhaps I should make more of an effort to shut the door but heck, in the overall scheme of things, I don't really care if he sees me or not but... Why do you think he would be doing this?

We don't have a sexual or romantic relationship at all, but for sure the desire is there on my part. I'm not sure if I'm making much ado about nothing or not.

I honestly don't think you have as many questions about all this as you imply. From here it looks like two consenting adults doing the delicate dance where the space between them melts away.

You're both being cautious. He, obviously, has a lot to lose if he misjudges the situation. His job, and in this case a place to live, are on the line. I do landscape work, and see a lot of women who are lonely for various reasons. They all love me because I'm always polite, willing to listen, and ready to help with what needs to be done, around their yard, sometimes in their basements, BUT . . .


I dare not cross that line, or it could be the last time I find work there. If one of them gave me a CLEAR signal that she wanted more, and I was aroused, I probably would follow my instincts, and deal with regrets later. But I assume touching them is off bounds unless I know for sure.


Here's my advice. The bathroom was a fine place to do your research. Well, just for the sake of little different perspective, he may as well not care, or just accept as fact that in your house bathroom doors don't have to be closed, and make nothing out of that.

There are families where it is not mandatory and nothing special. And then there are all out nudists that still would be surprisingly careful about that, closing bathroom door even when walking around naked.

We here, we aren't nudists but don't see nudity as something super special. We won't talk with someone taking the loo without dire necessity or emergency normally, but sometimes that happens. Toilets are separate from bathroom in all places I live, and that door have to be closed always with one exception.

There is an outhouse behind the barn, wide open doors is a sign it is occupied. There are few legitimate reasons to walk by that door right then and if that have to happen, we look the other way demonstratively. But strangely enough or not it is also the place most probably to be talked to or to continue the chat while using it.

Then, my nieces have strange habit to not close bathroom doors when visiting, even despite they're about only ones around here using swimwear in river or pond. Well, how the design is, only the sink could be seen inadvertently, not the bathtub or shower, and I haven't seen anything 'improper' but also have put some conscious effort not to (despite being lifelong peeping tom, or maybe even because, I'm in dubiety about this myself).

In short, consider probability you're reading too much in this.
