I'm praying you will travel to that island that has been in the news lately, the one with all the non-believer natives who also need to be "healed".

Why doesn't God keep bad things from happening? I think he is giving us choice. The choice for good or evil. Unfortunately those who choose evil cause evil consequences to innocent people.

Exactly. I find it silly when people ask why God is allowing suffering and evil. It's because we were put on earth to do good but many would rather be evil. God will win in the end though.

I think it has something to do with free will.
Of course, there is a great deal of human suffering that does not depend on human will.
Maybe it's just because He just doesn't care.

it bugs the hell out of me, too, when (for instance) a bunch of people die in terrible calamities like a tsunami or wild fire and then you see (certain) survivors saying Jesus/God saved them. why the FUCK do they imagine their god would choose to save that person over any of the other poor people who died in terrible ways? were they more deserving, more "holy"? i understand it can be a crutch to help with survivor's guilt, but don't tell me that some of the people who died didn't die with their prayers unheard or - maybe worse (if you believe in god) - ignored
except how can that be so when mankind as a whole goes through endless pain and suffering on a daily basis? i accept everyone has their own ways of exploring/discovering/accepting the spiritual side of life - and i don't have bones with others choosing to accept religious practices to do that so long as they don't impose on others detrimentally, but please, please don't tell me that all the pain endured by children, men and women, isn't felt by them because of jesus' crucifixion. perhaps we are supposed to believe it means at the point of death, when we're supposed to move on through purgatory up to 'heaven' or go visit warmer climes, but i cannot turn a pious cheek when it comes to this stuff. there's way too much hypocrisy in any religious set-up i've ever met, but coming from a roman catholic background i had a damned good grounding in seeing it firsthand.Nope. Why does God save some people and not others? or answers some prayers and seems to ignore others. Allows such evil that plagues the earth?
And why...I have never figured out, should we even us Christians know the answers to everything about God?
Even if he was predisposed to answer all of our questions or explain himself I sure am NOT going to demand that he does!
Not that we would even completely understand even the simple because I AM.
He has explained a great deal of things in the past/present/future but "we" as a whole choice not to hear it or believe it.

Why he helps us at all I do not really understand. Who are We to attract the attention and concern of such a being?
It has mystified many legions of angels for this far into eternity yet people expect us to have a ready answer other than what he has stated and then scoff when we don't have a better one or one they want or hear.
