Can a Cartoon or an Illustration Ever be Sexy?

I know that in Japan animated and computer generated pornography is very popular, but less so in other parts of the world (in Ireland hardly any of my friends knew it existed till I mentioned it). And I was wondering if a cartoon or even a drawing can be as sexy as filmed porn or photography. Does any one here think (or provide an example to demonstrate), that a cartoon or drawing or animation can be sexy?
I’m opened minded Io the possibility but have yet to find an example that I would consider sexy to my mind. Interested to know what Literotica members think.

I think so purely because it can show certain fantasies that people might not be ok with seeing an actual person enact if that makes sense

Although I would admire the artwork and Its beauty, I'm not sure I would find it sexy in the same way as seeing real people, it would be a different kind of appreciation for me.

I always had the hots for Daphne in Scooby-Doo, and as I got older and kinkier....

Hentai looks interesting but at first glance I don’t know if it would work for me. I’m glad I know what it’s called now! Apparently there are also pornographic graphic novels. This is a world I never knew about.

I often find illustrations and artwork (cartoon or otherwise) to be more sexy than photographs— especially so of your typical porn.

Some of these are from Milo Manera almost all of whose graphic novels (but especially the "Click" series are incredibly sexy)

I have a huge "thing" for Lois Griffin. Why not? She's pretty, sexy, sweet, forgiving, and ready to do almost anything in bed, almost at a moment's notice.

Ok, Holli Would certainly pricks my interest (I have seen that film a long time ago, isn’t David Bowie in it or have some connection with it?), she certainly fits the bill.

Well, barely ....

"A soundtrack album, Songs from the Cool World, featuring recordings by My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Moby, Ministry, The Future Sound of London, and others, was released in 1992 by Warner Bros. Records.[8] It included the track "Real Cool World" by David Bowie, his first original solo material in roughly three years; the song was written exclusively for the film."

Thank you. The one on the bottom is Milo Manara, which I did not know.

The two on the left are by Tom Poulton;
top right I cannot identify, although the artist's style is so familiar I feel like I ought to be able;
bottom right is from here, no artist given.

Thanks for the Bowie info. I knew he had a connection with that film. Early nineties Bowie though isn’t s great period for him (a little too close to the ‘Tin Machine’ era for my liking). Ok Jof0 Mandy isn’t sexy but she’s kinda cute-sexy, like If Disney were to draw a Playboy center fold kinda girl. This picture might provide a better example of what I mean. But still it mightn’t be to your taste.

A bit of perspective change, but I have to say this: drawing as a process is sexy and arousing. At least for me.

Drawing a line on the paper, tracing the contour of a body curve is next best thing after actually touching that body.

And, you can draw things you never experienced, never seen before, even expected, things that can't or even shouldn't exist, events you definitely don't want to happen. But you can draw it all, and experience enormous gratification while doing so. The result? It can be instant garbage, or a forever cherished memento, in theory a work of art many others would forever appreciate.

I have a 2x5 inches card with a pastel pencil drawing by my ex, showing herself clad in heavy coat looking away from the viewer over the sea, late in an autumn day. Believe me, context make that simple thing into the sexiest and at the same time saddest image in existence, but exclusively for me. (Well, we used to communicate in handwritten letters and drawings.)

I think it all depends on personal taste. I have no idea if geographical location affects that interest or not. But I think it can be very hot :)

it appears that someone has been here deleting my posts. (sigh) perhaps I'll have the energy to post them again tomorrow.

I wrote something with my last post too and it’s gone as well as the other photo. It was a little strong perhaps but was as sexy as I thought a drawn image could be.
