Looks like early December, a few things I need to take care of S F,

I understand that. I took four months before I moved in after closing. I had a lot of work done on the place to make it more livable for me: roof, electrical, plumbing, flooring,etc. I saved up some more money and am hoping to have some more work done after the holidays. I want to make the screened in back porch insulated and warmer. I am hoping it will help warm up the inside of the house also. Then the next thing on the list is either insulate the front screened in porch or redo the counters and sink in the kitchen. I still have stuff that needs unpacking.

You are right on the counter. I mostly want an under-mounted sink, I think. I need some paint on the walls but not sure what color. I want to put some lighting in here. This place gets very dark from 3 pm until early morning. I am a champ at procrastinating unpacking. I moved frequently when I was younger and always had boxes still unpacked when it came time to move again. I think in my head I figured why bother unpacking when you know you will move in a year or two. Now that I plan on being here permanently, I am still in that same head space. LOL

It could be better, the ice has left me without power for the next few days. Been a hectic week, found a new place to live and had to give up my horses since I won't be able to board them long term.

I am sorry to hear that Kama. Giving up horses or dogs can be very hard as they become so much a part of our lives.

Out here if your in a rural area a emergency generator is a must.

The news reports from the east coast sound like the storm has knocked everyone for a loop Kama.

It is like losing a family member, but I know the horses will be well cared for. I gave them to a friend who will take amazing care of them and they will work as therapy horses while she has them.

It hit some of us really hard and others are left clear. The weather is warming up, but the lack of electricity is rather annoying.

Looks like the house warming will be around the 1st weekend in December Robyn and it literally will be a house warming as the 1st fire in the wood stove will be laid and lit.

The day dawns cold and dreary as I add a log or two to the coals on the hearth to chase away the morning chill. A smile bows my lips as the closing is today, a new home with in reach at last. Time for a morning mug of coffee.

No worries. I had not asked because I had assumed you had a full plate. I read all that you are doing and the last thing I would want to do is take time away from the important work you do unless you had time to freely give.
