I guess if that's what you want to fret over. The only difference I've seen is slightly more entertainment and the crying and gnashing of teeth is on the other side now.
My life doesn't change much if he lies, so I see no reason to worry or even think about it all that much beyond an eye roll and maybe an internet post.
