Is it a moutain side? Cliffs? I'm writing a scene that requires it

Well, it's a mountain side or cliff face or rock face or escarpment. She's running along a ledge or a precipice. Squeezing through a crevasse, avoiding crags and rocky projections, leaping across a chasm, catching herself on an outcropping of rock when her leap falls short.

Does that help?

Holy shit that is great. Thanks so much! Can you write all my settings from now on? Lol. Thanks again

Wow...

Being a non-native-English-speaking person, I feel intimidated. I'd need a dictionary to get the point :D

Hell, I'm fluent in English and have written and published plenty of stories and his answer made me want to grab a dictionary

The feature she's running through is a gorge, but the word would only set up the scene before it started. Once the action starts, she's bounding, leaping, running on ledges and clawing her way up clefts and eroded rock faces.

Not to be too obvious, but it's an animation. What she does is unrealistic, and if you were there in real life then there would be a broader perspective. Perhaps the gorge divides snow-capped crags. The roar of the river at the bottom of the gorge and the waterfalls cascading along it's sides would resound among the cliffs. Subtle sounds would be lost in a wash of noise. There would be spray and mist obscuring the bottom of the gorge far below. The snow and ice that appear here and there in the animation would be more common, and it would be treacherous.

Wow, this is really helpful too. I'm just not good at describing landscapes as you are. Thank you
