Mormon women call on Mormon senators to delay Kavanaugh vote


“Given the seriousness of the allegations levied against Judge Kavanaugh, we call upon the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to immediately suspend the confirmation proceedings until a thorough independent investigation can be conducted,” a statement from the Mormon Women for Ethical Government (MWEG) released Tuesday said.

“Our mutual faith teaches that any sexual abuse or assault in any context is contemptible and worthy of the most severe condemnation,” MWEG’s statement said.

Third Kavanaugh accuser is decorated US government employee/

The government worker claims that between 1981 and 1983, she witnessed Kavanaugh — a US Court of Appeals judge for the DC Circuit and President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee — and his pal Mark Judge “spike” the “punch” at high school parties and then line up outside a room in the house along with other then-teenage boys “waiting to rape a drunken girl inside.”

This unsubstantiated character assassination has been allowed to go on far too long already. It’s just so obvious that Feinstein planned a September surprise in hopes of delaying confirmation .... preferably until 2020. Republican leaders need to grow a pair.

Time to get over it , Dr. Ford. Well I suspect you already have, but this was too sweet a deal to pass up to gain political advantage. Glad I am not a man in today’s world. We expect you to take control (well many of us do), but heaven forbid you mis-step. And that is not to excuse the kind of situation Ford was in- but many women have endured far worse, yet we manage to get on with our lives. Is it “fair”? No, but it has been that way since before our ancestors climbed down from the trees.

I realize it’s politically incorrect to say it in the current environment but back in my day, you got drunk with a group of guys, you could expect to be on your back with your legs spread wide and somebody between them. And then another somebody. Happened to me once (and no, I didn't enjoy it ... not after a while, anyhow, lol).

Kavanaugh is under consideration for SCOTUS, not sainthood (of a sort few saints achieved). Now a record of lying, particularly in adulthood, is one that would concern me. But when he first made it, or may have lied about doing it or not doing it, is pretty far down my list of concerns. Those are, after all, a young man’s personal lies (if they are that), not professional ones. Leftists have all of a sudden become exquisitely concerned about how sexuality plays out in somone’s Life. Utter hypocrisy, to say the least!
