I am not talking about attempted rape/Sexual assault of some the lesser type.

https://definitions.uslegal.com/r/rape/

That would be so common as to make this thread worthless.

I, myself know several females.

The last one,a young friend of mine was raped by one of her male cousins.

They were alone at her house when she, after a shower stepped out of the bathroom he flung a sheet over her head, picked her up, threw her on the nearest bed and raped her.

As they were friends as well as relatives it was a really fucked up thing.

I after failing to talk her into going to the police or telling her parents seriously offered to fuck him up for her, but she was very adamant about me doing nothing.

She said in a voice that still gives me shivers: I am going to "Take Care" of that Bastard myself."

Last I knew she was happily married with several kids.

Him...I never heard of again.

None of my closer acquaintances.

And I don’t think that it was because they decided to bottle things up.
That was the type of environment that I grew up in, and spent my youth in – equality and mutual respect.
I was very lucky.

But I see lots of comments otherwise, in this forum and online. Which makes me wonder:

Beneath the the institutional decrees that clearly support women and minorities,
are these issues in fact much worse in English-speaking countries and former colonies, compared to other European countries??
I’m starting to think so.

Why don't you look up Ken Kraft's thread from a few years back, remember when "she" wanted to hear everyone's rape recovery stories to help "her" get through "her trauma".

Somewhere between 10-12 that I know of.

It goes unreported or untold far more frequently than anyone would think.

Yes. Me.

By two ... well, let's not call them women, but older girls.

Also my close friend's mother, my daughter's best friend, my other close friend and her sister...

and my father.

Yes, me. I (male) was raped when I was 8, by my babysitter (female).

Weird that this is the third thread where me saying this was appropriate within a span of a few weeks.

Yes. Quite a few. Probably more than I realize. It's something most people don't want to talk about. Especially when the rapist is someone you know.

The men who are surprised that so many people are raped are only surprised because people find them untrustworthy and\or they are the perpetrators. Like Que, specifically.

Abusing a woman to bruise her breasts is rapey, amiright? :)

People I was/am close to. One male and four females. I was stunned that all of them felt it was somehow their fault.

Leave it to Luke to clown around in a rape thread.

“It takes a thief to know one.”
I would rather think that those men would never conceive of brutalising a woman.
So it’s difficult for them to imagine that so many people who share their demographic characteristics, do so.
