‘Nobody is going to actually notice it at the end of the day.’

Thus spoke Wilbur Ross, chief commerce lackey for the con artist, who said the increased costs associated with the con artist's latest tariff salvo will go unnoticed by the plebes.

After all, what's an extra $100 dollars for an iPhone, or another dollar or two on that shirt or pair of pants you were thinking of buying?

Prices increases, said Ross, will be “spread across thousands and thousands of products.”

The very thousands of products, and their components, people buy every day.

Nope, no way anyone will see the effect of increased costs due to tariffs. No siree, not gonna happen. It's never happened before and it won't happen now.

Your tax cut will offset the increase in prices.

Is that after the price of gas goes up, health insurance goes up, food goes up, and everything else goes up?

Remember, because of the tariffs, the company which makes Spam has had to raise their prices because steel costs more.

Gas is already up a dollar per gallon over a year ago. At least around here.

It's all part of the evil GOP plan to get Americans to give up their cars and take mass transit.

Going to be hard to do unless they change the infrastructure. When I lived in the Los Angeles area, I couldn't use the train or bus because the train ran north and south (I traveled east to west) and the bus took hours and lots of transfers to get through multiple city systems. My brother would love to use the train system but it shuts down before he gets off work.

Now I live in a small town. There is no mass transit system of any kind here. I do like that the gas (even though it is a dollar higher) is still a dollar cheaper than places in California.

We have many stations at $2.99. With the recent sustained rise in the price of oil I expect it to be over $3 in the next few days.

Petrol (regular unleaded) = US gas is currently about £1.30 a litre locally. That is about $5 a US gallon. With all the taxes on it, that isn't too large a difference but the pundits are suggesting a considerable tax increase on petrol and diesel in the Autumn budget. :(
