Kreepy Kavanaugh

The last-minute emergence of the hitherto anonymous accuser of a 35-year-ago teenage episode is hilarious.

It's a classic case of desperation (and, quite possibly, flat-out fabrication).

This is a perfect example of amazingly sleazy behavior. It's why nobody in their right mind wants to have anything to do with politicians and the scumballs who pursue political careers. It's why normal people despise Washington, D.C. and its inhabitants.

The place is full of gutter-dwelling slimeballs.

It's one among many reasons to keep government as small as practically possible. Big government inevitably guarantees power struggles between and among slimeballs who want power over thee and me.

Sorry to hear you find sexual assault allegations "hilarious".
It speaks volumes about your character.

Ole Johnny's Two Cents:

1. I don't care about 35 year old allegations from his teen years. He's been nominated many times over the years for various positions and the FBI did background checks. This never came up before and that it's come up now calls into question the veracity of the claim. Even if true... so what? It was a long time ago.

2. He his qualified for the job. The President gets to appoint Justices. That's a perq of winning the office. If HRC had won, she would have nominated someone the Republicans found equally repugnant. It wouldn't matter who DJT nominated, he could have nominated BHO and the Dems would still be squealing like a pig. The shoe will be on the other foot in two years and this will play out all over again but with the sides flipped.

3. Most people (myself included) don't really give a rat's ass about the Supreme Court. Except Vette who would have us believe he's actually ready any of Thomas' opinions. I interact with dozens of people a day, 100s over the course of a week. I'd be willing to bet that not a single one of them can name more than three of the nine(now eight) justices.

I repeat myself...

My faith in Johnny's common sense and good judgment is, once again, confirmed.

I called Kavanaugh for a perv the minute he was nominated. You can just tell looking at him. Something is seriously wrong with the Stay-Puff Man.

Quoted for posterity.

(I swear to god, you can't make this stuff up)

I agree. The only reason Christine Blasely Ford is speaking up now is because she doen't want Brett Kavanaugh to be appointed to the Supreme Court. The Democrats are shamelessly exploiting this woman. They don't give a care about her or her allegations. They just want to use her for their own ends. It is despicable. I am positive that they are paying her. I just don't buy her story. She doesn't even remember when it happened. She narrowed it down to the "early '80's".

While his friend watched, she said, Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed on her back and groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it. When she tried to scream, she said, he put his hand over her mouth.
“I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” said Ford, now a 51-year-old research psychologist in northern California. “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.”

People have known about it for years, and Kavanaugh knew this might be coming, hence the "65 women say he never raped them" letter that was curiously ready to be released the second all this came out. I don't have (or need) such a letter, what about you?

I just read a headline:

You Can’t Walk Back a Categorical Denial

And I agree, so if he’s even lying a little, he’s toast.

Well...if most people don't give a rat's ass about the Supreme Court, then why is it there and why do we need it?

Is it one of those archaically useless money-draining institutions wealthy white men created in the past to make themselves feel more godly and important in lording it over everyone else? I mean, if it's like that, then...

Man, I wish everyone's life was all lollipops and unicorns to have that kind of wide berth of privilege in never needing to care about government systems that never impact you. Then having back-alley abortions with wire hangers would be something bored hipsters do for kicks on the weekends after slamming PBR six-packs! :D

Are you outraged that I don't really care about the Supreme Court; or, are you disputing my opinion that most people don't care either

You see, I live in a world where daily concerns involve paying the power bill, paying the rent, paying for food... The goings on in Washington DC seemingly affect your peer group more than mine.

'No Man is an Island'

No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

-John Donne

See, I want your world, then. I want to be able to not care about the Supreme Court while still paying the power bill, paying the rent, paying for food too. But I don't have that same privilege, Johnny. Many people I know doing the exact same shit every day don't possess that same privilege either.

Can you give it to them? Or at least sell it at a low cost? Ten bucks for a yearly membership or free Netflix options?

IF we don't need to care about the fucking thing, then WE DON'T NEED THE FUCKING THING. And let's quit all this bullshit yapping, nut up and get rid of it. Tabula rasa the bitch down.

IF we're gonna keep the fucking thing around, then MAKE THE FUCKING THING BETTER and KEEP MAKING THE FUCKING THING BETTER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE EACH GO-ROUND so that EVERYONE can have that same privileged wide umbrella space of peace and calm to be made to think that the fucking thing doesn't affect anything in their lives because it's silently working in the background just like the navigation apps on your smartphone you never need to use until you can't find a decent pizza joint.

I have no idea what you are talking about. But I'm willing to bet that you have people in your peer group that can't name three current justices either. I would also bet you don't talk down to them like you are to me.

How can be prove he didn't do this? He can't, and Feinstein knows it.

I hope you aren't planning a trip to Las Vegas anytime soon, because you're gambling lousy here, guy. :D

First bet you lose because this isn't 1976 and we're all not in grade school anymore. Second bet you lose because nobody I consider peers talks this kind of not-caring shit about the systems that affect our lives to make me need to talk down to them. Or vice-versa.

Hey, look...if you're living good with not having to care about what the Supremes do, then keep rocking that privilege and keep living well. We only get one jackpot wheel turn before we get kicked off stage for good and you spun it real lucky, I guess. Cheers!

He denied the entire encounter.

Unfortunately, he's on record as lying in testimony in his last court confirmation hearing. So, the objective will have to discount any denial now. That's on him.

That doesn't mean that I think this alone nails him on sexual assault--certainly as long as there's no more than one credible accusation from back when he was a "coming of sexual age" minor and not really responsible for having good judgment.

The rebuttal of 65 testimonials from women from when he was going to an all-boy's prep school backfires with me, though. How did he get hooked up with 65 girls during that the period under those circumstances who could testify to his relationship behavior? The Repubs were into overkill on this, I think, especially in having it all ready to go for something they claim blindsighted him.

Where's the dude who was said to be in the room at the time? He isn't a Trump supporter?

I'm thinking you went to the DJT School of Facts....

From my perspective, YOU are posting as an entitled elitist. I'M saying my peer group are working hard, coming home dirty, and trying to survive. I'm surprised to hear you denigrating them, but such is life on the lit. Toss a quarter in the homeless guys cup on your way out to dinner.

Are you outraged that I don't really care about the Supreme Court; or, are you disputing my opinion that most people don't care either

I would certainly dispute that people don't care about the Supreme Court. That's what the 2016 Election was all about--who was going to be able to name the next couple of SC justices and push the nominations through. Where were you in November 2016?

That's bullshit. No man should suffer a career ending event on the simple accusation of a conflicted woman with a personal and political ax to grind against him without any evidence produced.
