Be kind to your local businesses, just say NO to JeffCo. Buy elsewhere. Anywhere else.

I have yet to find anything at JeffCo that I haven't been able to find at some other store or site for a similar price or lower. I have no problem paying a bit more rather than giving it to Jeff.

I love the Jeff co. market, they send shit I can't get to my door step....most of it from other small bidnizzizzizz.

Like BBQ sauce from Texas.

And people in all over buy my California shit.

We all make money and get cool shit.....what's the problem???

You mean Etsy. This thread is about Amazon.

Getting free shipping with Prime is a pretty important incentive for me.

^^ No reason to pay to get free shipping (which isn't free to begin with since you pay for it in higher prices). Many other sites include shipping now at no extra cost.

Not where I live.

I like the movies. Actually, I kinda prefer it to Netflix.

Have yet to buy anything though.

Getting more and more annoyed with the lobotomized lemmings that keep infesting this and other sites with Zucker links, GooGoolinks, links using a Belize country TLD, and other stupid shit to prove they can no longer think for themselves.

A lot of Amazon stuff is sold by small business. Amazon is a way for them to reach a wider market. I do not trust or like some of their tech but overall I have no problem with them. They may eventually become the only large retailer but that's the way of things.
Don't think Bezos is bad himself but he won't be around forever and then it's Raccoon City and The Hive. Good luck stopping that.

What I hate are braindead lemmings who get led by the latest fad, whatever it may be.

How very hipster of you.

So how are amazon users "braindead lemmings who get led by the latest fad" ???

Proof?

You do undestand that these retailers have contracts with the shippers, right?
They do not pay by the piece.

Lemmings. I like that word. Why is that?
I'm sure it's not a nice one.

But they still pay for shipping. Those contracts give them a lower rate, not free shipping. Those costs are added to the item price, just like all other overhead.

Living in a small community, I shop local when I can, but there are things I just can't get here that are sold on amazon. Also "a bit more" is subjective. Is that 5%, 15%, 50% more? There comes a time and percentage (mines around 35-40%) that sends me to the net and the first stop is usually Amazon. As said before Amazon gives a lot of small businesses a store front with much more exposure then they would ever have any place else. And they do have a lot of stuff that's hard to find otherwise.

If you're price comparing (which you should if you're net shopping), the smart way is to figure the entire price (including shipping and tax) so it matters not who has free shipping and who doesn't. What I've found is those that do are usually priced under those who don't.

So let me see if I understand, you want us to quit shopping Amazon because to do so makes us mindless Lemmings, but we should follow your recommendation for no other reason then you said so (which is a definition of mindless obedience)? Yea, Ok, sure.

Comshaw

This is what I have said yet oddly, people will complain about Amazon and their work practices rather than not do business with them.

It's the same thing about the con artist whining about Harley Davidson moving some of its production overseas because of his tariffs. The con artist talks about made in America yet refuses to have his name brand clothes made here.

Also, how many of those bikers from last week were wearing clothes made in some other country, yet they were claiming they wouldn't buy Harley's because they wouldn't be made here?

Hypocrisy. Gotta love it.
