Of course there will be those who will claim he didn't backtrack and pretend he meant the US will pay for it then Mexico will repay us for it by...some imaginary way.

I mean, if his plan all along was to force Mexico to pay the US back for it, surely he's been stashing money he's been getting from Mexico in an account.

My guess is that most liberals are just laughing at him and his hypocrisy.
