Special Report host Bret Baier said that President Trump may very well be trolling the media and the left by claiming that he thinks Russia will interfere in the midterms to help Democrats

Trump on Tuesday tweeted that he's "very concerned" Russia will fight "very hard" to impact the elections in November, and that the Kremlin would try to help Democrats.

Baier added that maybe the media shouldn't read into the president's words, because he may be saying certain things on purpose.

"I think that the president sometimes literally does troll the media and the left," Baier said. "I think that he wants heads to explode."

Post post modern leadership. Management by meme.

Alrighty then.

Or maybe he's just a twat. Could be that.

I'll let y'all choose your own Occam's Razor.

He's not trolling.

As I said in this thread, albeit much more briefly,

Trump has been constantly attacking the FBI/DoJ about the investigation in order to get people to believe there was no wrong doing even when the final report at the end shows there was. He can just say, "See, I told you it was the deep state!"
If his campaign is exonerated, he can say, "See? No collusion! We have a great FBI/DoJ"

Now he's prepping his base for midterm losses, so he can say, "See, I told you in July the Russians wanted democrats to win!"
If Republicans keep control of congress he can proclaim victory over the Russian hacking attempts.

There's no downside for him, but he has to (to use the phrase he invented) prime the pump.

I think he's prepping them for the unthinkable too...

That a political "truism" will not prevail and he will retain the House and Senate.

I can hear the howls of anguish now. "B-b-b-b-ut, WE GOT MORE VOTES!"

Understand that from now on when Democrats lose at the polls it will always be the Russians helping the opposition.

Trolling is what the buffoon does best, as he has nothing else to contribute to humanity.

Of course. Remember how much he was going on and on about rigged elections when he thought he’d lose? Whatever happened to his voter fraud commission?

Not very presidential, but kind of amusing.

Nothing amusing about the head of one of the supposedly top notch countries of the world acting like a moron.

Go ahead and find that funny.

One can be amusing as AN ADULT without being a childish shitwad.

Remember when Hillary and the Democrats demanded Trump abide by the results of the election?

What wrong doing? What collusion? Manafort's 12 year old tax case? Carter Page's activities in Russia? Carter Page, the man Trump never knew, never met, who never had any meaningful thing to do with the Trump Campaign? carter Page, the man free to walk the streets un-indicted because it turns out he was debriefed by the CIA and FBI after every trip to Russia? That Carter Page? None of what the Obama administration alleged about Donald Trump and his campaign has ever been proven

Making excuse after excuse is a common trait of Vietnam-era Marines.

They've had a lot of practice doing that since they lost the war in Vietnam, to date the only stain on the Marines' otherwise stellar war-fighting record.

Is Obama a master of trolling?

Trolling is what the buffoon does best, as he has nothing else to contribute to humanity.

The thing is, Obama often intentionally provokes the conservative base. As the Washington Post's Paul Waldman put it in 2014, Obama "seems to come up with a new idea every couple of weeks to drive [the GOP] up a wall." That makes him a master at trolling.

You can probably already see the problem. When you throw out so much bait, like so many buckets of chum, you have no idea what kinds of creatures you'll draw. By playing this game, he attracted Donald Trump: A man often in error but never in doubt, with a thumbless grasp of facts, and a total willingness to repeat conspiracy theories, rumors and innuendo as the truth.

Trump's claim last week that he was doing a public service by "ending" the issue Clinton "started" was itself a brilliant bit of trollery. He was trying to have it both ways, simultaneously saying that the birther movement was nefarious and illegitimate from the beginning, and that he was some kind of statesman for pushing it relentlessly.

None of that matters now. Like Obama, Trump exploited the issue for his own advantage, worming his way into the GOP. Obama allowed the birther issue to fester in the fever swamps of the right, and now he's facing the real possibility that he will be replaced by the Swamp Thing

What about Alex Van Der Zwaan, Gates, Flynn, Papdopulous, Pinedo and countless Russians?

What about Alex Van Der Zwaan, Gates, Flynn, Papdopulous, Pinedo and countless Russians?

What about them? None are facing crimes that have anything to do with the Trump Campaign and Russian "collusion." In the Flynn case a gross miscarriage of justice may have been committed, but it has nothing to do with Russian collusion with the Trump Campaign.

vettebottom is slurping Putin's nut directly from 45's asshole.

Washington Post asks for help identifying Trump's golf partners

The Washington Post is soliciting help from the public to identify some of President Trump's golf partners on dozens of outings since he entered office.

The newspaper cited Trump's propensity to play in private settings away from cameras as a reason why identifying his partners has been so difficult.

"In part this is because Trump chooses to play on courses where he can keep outside observers from seeing what’s going on. That also means that it’s often hard to learn about his partners and, further, to confirm that he was joined on the course," the article reads.
