More ‘Bad Character’ Examples Added To Trump’s DC Liquor License Challenge

The president needs to be “of good character” if he wants to hold on to his liquor license for Trump International Hotel.
Five local religious leaders and two retired judges are challenging the liquor license Trump holds for his hotel in the District of Columbia, arguing that he doesn’t have the “good character” required by law to hold such a license.

By law, if the “true and actual owner of the establishment” serving alcohol is not “of good character,” the liquor license can be suspended or revoked by the local Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.

“The president is not above the law,” attorney Joshua Levy told HuffPost. “There’s no excuse or exception, even for the president of the United States.”

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will hold a hearing on the challenge Wednesday, and a decision will be announced the following day, said Levy.

The board will decide whether to recommend a hearing to show cause to the attorney general of the District of Columbia, who will then decide what action to take.

It’s difficult to understand the mindset of Trump supporters, when Donald Trump is in the White House, bad-mouthing the United States Constitution, attacking Freedom of the Press, declaring war on America’s journalists and leaking secrets to the Russians.

It’s difficult to empathize with people who support Trump when Trump is destroying America’s reputation overseas. Trump has appalled our foreign allies by assigning his son-in-law to liaise with world leaders, firing large numbers of diplomats from the State Department, slashing the international budget, shirking America’s responsibilities as a world leader, abandoning international treaties, making blind cuts to global diplomatic and development priorities, engaging in reckless, childish, irresponsible trade wars, leaking secrets to the Russians and embracing brutal dictators.

It’s difficult to have a civil, productive dialogue with these people, when they demand that we show respect for a man who is destroying green jobs. While China is investing billions of dollars into all forms of renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, and hydroelectric), Donald Trump has vowed to zero out all federal spending on clean energy research and development. The Chinese are expected to create 13 million new jobs with their investments into renewable energy, while Trump is planning on halting all American investments into renewable energy. This would kill jobs in all fifty states.

And it’s difficult for us to have a civil, respectful conversation with these people, when their beloved leader is destroying America’s farms. As Trump’s policies of mass deportations and anti-immigrant rhetoric creates shortages of migrant farm workers, crops on American farms are going unpicked and farmers are losing millions of dollars as their crops are not making it to the market. To make matters even worse, Trump’s childish trade war with China is costing American farmers billions in lost sales. Since Trump’s trade war began, China has cancelled more than 62,000 metric tons of soybean purchases from the United States. Nations like Brazil and Canada are taking over soybean markets that were formally U.S. markets.

In addition to destroying America’s farms, Trump is also destroying America’s schools. He’s appointed Bets DeVos to be his Secretary of Education and is pushing cruel budget cuts for America’s public schools. He’s called for budgets cuts of almost $11 billion, including eliminating $2.1 billion in funding for teacher development and support, and $1.2 billion for after school programs, which support working families and serve 1.6 million students. In addition to eliminating funding for teachers and after-school programs, Trump’s priorities include dismantling funding for arts; foreign language; science, technology, engineering and math (STEM); literacy; history and civics; gifted programs; mental health; bullying prevention; and enrichment programs.

Trump’s childish trade war, his racism, his attacks on our allies, and his war to destroy the State Department and America’s Diplomatic Corps has hurt America’s reputation so much that he’s also destroying America’s tourism industry and costing America billions in lost tourism income. In point of fact, Trump has been horrible for the American economy in general, costing us jobs in the healthcare industry, tourism industry, green energy industry, and others. Trump is destroying the U.S. economy.

So, with Trump destroying America’s reputation overseas, destroying our relationship with NATO, destroying our schools, destroying our economy, destroying our farms, killing American jobs and treating a foreign enemy as his new best friend, I quite simply do not understand how I am supposed to treat his childish, foul-mouthed, irresponsible supporters with respect and civility.

"Secret Police" generally means political police, i.e., a force tasked specifically with suppressing political dissidents. In America only the FBI (and some local police department "red squads") has ever played that role, and not so much since the 1960s. As for "murderous criminals," I think that's pretty much limited to the CIA. Certainly not the ATF, despite that Randy Weaver business.

Just imagine you're dealing with Rain Man. You can't actually reach him, but there are ways of getting him to come along quietly, and they all depend on civility.

Even the Soros Democrats admit they can't win an election without casting illegal votes. They can never win an honest election with only Americans voting (and not criminals). The states of California, Illinois, and Texas and Arizona have made it possible for non citizens to vote. The only reason the Democrats and Mr. Soros are paying to bring people (terrorists, criminals, and slaves) up from the south (and many do not come from South American) is because they want them as illegal voters. That is also why they feel African Americans and women should be treated like slaves and told how to vote. And if any are foolish enough to think on their own well you know what Hillary said about such people. (Did you hear her last speech saying how she feels about women who were molested by her husband? Shows you what she really thinks of the women's rights movement.) And it was only the Democratic states that refused to clean up the election process after the 2016 election.

In addition high party members are behind and encourage violence and the use of black shirts to threaten and injure those who oppose the illegal measures of the Democratic Party. (Not the real party as that has been destroyed by the communists and Nazi followers of Soros.) They use these gangs like the Nazi did to bring Hitler to power and the Communists did to bring Lenin to power.

They use the media as a voice of lies and violence (when is the last time you actually saw a real news report on any station that was fact? The world is round and there are a lot of countries in it, but our media only reports on Hollywood and Washington as if the world was flat. That is how the Nazi and Communists use their news, only what their Party is doing and no news of the rest of the world or the truth of what is happening in their own country.

The Democrats are for high taxes, criminals, the corrupt rich and as agents of foreign governments. Anyone can see that Greece, Venezuela, Cuba, Russia and China just as examples are economic failures and that is what Obama and company wanted for us. (It's funny but the perfect state of Communism China, where all are suppose to be equal, have the leaders as rich fat capitalist pigs with off shore bank accounts while the people have to work at slave wages and turn their money over to the government, like the Democrats want us to do. Just saying."

Obama and Clinton spent huge sums of tax money in going to the rich (not the people) to get their bribes and pay offs. So the b.s. about Trumps travels unless you criticize Obama and Clinton doesn't hold water.

Remember everything Obama said about his "health care" was a lie. He admitted it as well as his gang members, the mayor of Chicago, his brother and the other medical quack. They said they couldn't tell the truth or even their own party would have voted it down. That is why Princess Nancy wouldn't read it or let anyone else. So again don't bark about the Republicans trying to destroy Social Security (which Obama and company all most did) or Health Care. Obama Care as anyone who had to buy it will tell you was too expensive. And anyone who has ever lived in a socialist country will tell you, socialist medicine is crap. Look at Cuba for example. (by the way can you live on $50 a month? Of course in Cuba where that is the allowance the Castro allows his slaves there isn't anything to spend it on.)

Remember it is the Clinton's who took millions of dollars in pay offs from the Russians, used them to help try and interfere with the election of 2016 and sold them material for nuclear bombs that you know went not only to the Russians, but Iran and China. Her bath room toilet server and lack of care about security in her job as Secretary of State shows what a terrible president she would have made.

Now name one thing the Soros Democrats have to offer this election? Other than hate and corruption and higher taxes and less freedom.

What kind of person is so unhinged that even though he won a presidential election, he goes nuts when he's reminded that he lost the popular vote and
(a) demands that all his minions start writing sycophantic tweets about his historic landslide victory
(b) continues stewing about it anyway and fabricates an allegation of massive voter fraud perpetrated by the Democratic Party
(c) flips out at an anodyne segment from a CNN reporter about his lies
(d) spends his evening hunched over his smartphone rounding up a motley crew of racists, nutbags, and teenagers to assure him that he's right?

What kind of person does this? And how easy is it to manipulate someone like this? We have a helluva scary four years ahead of us.

Trump is a fraud, and a very insecure fraud at that.

Donald Trump is famous for referring to people he doesn’t like as “fake”. When journalists publish stories that he doesn’t like, he refers to their entire newspaper or broadcast station as “fake news”. When a judge rules that one of his executive orders is unconstitutional, he refers to that judge as a “fake judge”.

But, who’s really the fake here?

The journalists and judges that he’s attacked as “fake” are actually people will long and distinguished careers. They are recognized in their fields as very accomplished professionals, but what about Trump? Is he as accomplished and respectable as the people that he labels as “fake”?

No, not really.

In point of fact, Trump is the one that comes off as fake. He’s more fake than a used-car salesman that tampers with the odometer on a car with 200,000 miles on it, and lies to prospective buyers, telling them that it only has 12,000 miles on it.

Let’s take a look at some of Donald Trump’s fakeness.

TRUMP’S FAKE PLAN TO DEFEAT ISIS: For years, Trump told the American people that he knew more about ISIS than America’s generals do, and that he had a secret and foolproof plan to defeat them “very, very quickly”. His was a great plan, and far superior to anything America’s generals could ever come up with. However, after Trump was inaugurated, it turned out that Trump actually knew FAR LESS about ISIS than America’s generals do, and he ordered America’s generals to come up with a plan to defeat ISIS!

TRUMP’S FAKE UNIVERSITY: Attorney General Eric Schneiderman brought a suit against Trump University for fraud. Trump “university” was never actually a university. It never met the qualifications to be called a university. The fraud started with the name of the organization. It really was a fraud from beginning to end. Schneiderman said Trump “bilked people out of millions of dollars. Thousands of people paid millions of dollars believing that he would tell them his real estate secrets. And we know from his own sworn testimony … that he didn’t write the curriculum – none of them were his secrets.”

Former Trump University workers described the university as “a facade, a total lie” and a “fraudulent scheme” that “preyed upon the elderly and uneducated to separate them from their money”.

Trump eventually paid $25 Million to settle the lawsuit against Trump University…or about HALF of the money that he stole from his victims.

TRUMP’S FAKE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION: The Trump Foundation is supposed to be a charity. That’s the way Donald Trump set up his foundation. However, Trump rarely donates money from the Trump foundation to charitable causes. And he never contributes any of his own money.

And in at least two cases, he has used money from his charity to buy himself a gift. In one of those cases he spent $20,000 of money earmarked for charitable purposes to buy a six-foot-tall painting of himself.

Money from the Trump Foundation has also been used for political purposes, which is against the law. Back when Attorney General Pam Bondi was looking into investigating fraud at Trump University, Trump wrote a $25,000 check to Pam Bondi in an attempt to convince her stop the investigation. He paid her with funds from the Trump Foundation. So, he paid Pam Bondi a bribe, with funds that were supposed to be donated to charitable causes. This is extraordinarily illegal.

FAKE SUPPORTERS: When Trump spoke at the CIA headquarters, multiple people in the audience clapped and cheered enthusiastically. What nobody knew at the time, was that the first three rows of the audience were NOT employees of the CIA, but rather people invited by Trump to clap and cheer, and make him appear to be far more popular at the CIA than he truly is.

And that wasn’t the first time that Trump has engineered applause. When he first announced his candidacy, he got wild cheers — from actors who had been PAID to applaud him (Trump then stiffed the company that hired them for four months). When he gave his first news conference as president, he filled the back of the room with aides to cheer for him, and jeer at the journalists he was attacking.

FAKE TRUMP FANS ON TWITTER: Anyone can amass an exorbitant number of Twitter followers. You don't even have to be famous. All you have to do is pay for them. For $400, you can buy for yourself over one million followers. Because Donald Trump is the president of the United States and the most famous person on the planet, one wouldn't think he would need to employ a bot to boost his Twitter following. Nevertheless, it seems that he has done just that. As screenwriter John Niven pointed out, Trump's Twitter account saw an unusual spike in followers, many of which appear to have been created artificially.

Trump currently has 31 million followers and, sure enough, if you browse through them you will find an unusual number of tweet-less, picture-less accounts that joined the service in May 2017. If you're still curious, you can enter Trump's handle, @realDonaldTrump, into Twitter Audit, a service that assesses the authenticity of one's followers, and find that only 51 percent of Trump's are real.

FAKE PHONE CALLS: Trump bragged about a phone call he had received from the head of the Boy Scouts saying it was the greatest speech that was ever made to them, and they were very thankful. However, Trump never got any such call. His childish, offensive and highly political speech to the boys at their national jamboree later prompted Boy Scouts President Randall Stephenson and Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh to apologize to members of the scouting community who were offended by Trump’s rhetoric.

Trump also bragged about a phone call that he claimed he had received from the president of Mexico. He claims that the Mexican president praised Trump for Trump’s tough and belligerent talk about keeping Mexicans from crossing the border into the United States. Once again, Trump was lying. The president of Mexico never called Trump. Trump is just making stuff up again.

And in the years before he ran for president, Trump would make phone calls to people in the media, where he would pretend to be a media spokesman named John Miller (or sometimes John Barron), where he would act as a vigorous advocate for Donald Trump, heaping himself with huge amounts of praise, while pretending to be an impartial party.

So, when Donald Trump accuses somebody else of being “fake”, it's a Freudian slip, because deep down he knows that HE is truly the fake one!

Donald Trump made a bizarre claim that he won the Electoral College “in a landslide” and that he “won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally".

Let’s get real here. Trump only managed to amass 306 electoral votes. His opponent Hillary Clinton amassed 232 electoral votes. This is hardly a landslide.

In 1936, Franklin D. Roosevelt won in a national election against Alf Landon, amassing a total of 523 electoral votes. Alf Landon only got 8 electoral votes.

In 1984, Ronald Reagan won in a national election against Walter Mondale, amassing a total of 525 electoral votes. Walter Mondale only got 13 electoral votes.

Now, if Donald Trump had performed a major ass-kicking like Ronald Reagan or Franklin D. Roosevelt did, THAT could be considered “a landslide”, but Trump didn’t even come CLOSE to those numbers! In point of fact, he just BARELY went over the minimum required for victory!
This is not a landslide. This is more like a squeaker.

And then there’s Donald Trump’s bizarre claim that he won the popular vote, “if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally”.

The millions of people who voted illegally?

There isn’t a single governor, mayor, district attorney, election official, voting clerk or investigative journalist in America who knows anything about these “millions of people who voted illegally”. This is yet another example of Donald Trump claiming to know far more than the experts.

Emory University political scientist Alan Abramowitz pointed out that, "If Mr. Trump seriously believes that there was significant vote fraud in any state, he should file a formal protest and ask for an investigation. He does not — he is simply repeating baseless claims."

And this brings me to another point about Trump. Even though Trump is constantly making extraordinary and sensational claims, he never provides any evidence for ANYTHING that he says! He just seems to expect people all over America to just take him at his word and never do any fact-checking!

This is very childish behavior on Mister Trump’s part. This sort of approach might work if he was in kindergarten and he was lying to other kindergartners, but he is now the president-elect of the United States, and he is lying to Investigative reporters, America’s intelligence community, America’s military leaders, the U.S. Congress and millions of other intelligent Americans.
