Just a thread to discuss things that have caught your fancy lately.
A new song or band?
A new game?
A new activity or hobby?
A new place to visit?
A new store you like to shop at?
Anything that you just recently got into that you've never done before
but now you have been trying it often.
Even if it's not something you might do forever,
if you're really into it at the moment, post it here.
Who knows, maybe someone else here has that interest
and chat you up about it.

For myself, I made this thread because of snooker.
That mainly British played billiards-type game.

A few days ago I was watching a YouTube channel called "Fact Fiend"
that basically has a different topic in each video that they'd humorously
discuss at length. I was enjoying their take on a few things when I
came across a video that talked about snooker having adorable controversies.
Being American, and therefore knowing almost nothing about snooker
except that it had red balls and was like pool, I thought I might
check it out and get a laugh.
I mean, how controversial can snooker games be?
The video turned out to be mostly about a player (who seems to be
rather well known internationally for being a "bad boy" and a "genius")
named Ronnie O'Sullivan.
So I watch the video and it was amusing, and so I wound up looking up
a few more videos displaying his antics and then his talents.

Fast forward to today, and I've now watched enough snooker on YouTube
and read enough on Wikipedia to grasp the basic game and most the basic rules,
and even found it necessary to download a snooker game on my phone.
Mind you I've never really had an interest in pool before.
Sure, I'd play if there was a table, and have played video games of it in the past,
but I cannot say I ever felt invested in it.
Surely I wasn't watching it on tv or anything, it was just a game.
Snooker has fascinated me now, though, to the point that I know if I was
a millionaire with a game room, I'd be figuring out if I could fit a snooker
table in there.
Again, it's odd as an American as we just don't have snooker here.
Oh, I'm sure SOMEONE in this country has snooker balls, but in general we just don't play it. It never caught on here and we just play pool (mostly 8-ball or 9-ball).
I can't say I'm really into it yet, and it may just be a passing interest, but for the moment I'm into it.
I really am hoping to at least get a 147 break on my mobile game before I'm bored of it. :D

I signed up to street team for Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds. My favorite new band.

I also just tried tapping for health. Made me realize that I was in fact feeling fear about a certain situation in my life. I have released that fear and feel a lot better.

Am also BIG into Law of Attraction. It's working very well for me! :D

Last year in Barbados I tried windsurfing & thought it was fun. I don't go out to the breakers & do flips on those short boards or anything, just cruise along in the calmer water. Not planning on getting my own, when I'm there & get the itch I'll just rent one from the club.
I started a cardio kickboxing class I do 4-5 times a week in the mornings & also a pole dance exercise class 2-4 times a week.
Now that my husband is getting the metal detector itch again he's getting a water detector to use when we're in Barbados. I watched some YouTube videos & I'm going to try it in the shallow water.

My in-laws have a snooker table in their rec room but I'm not good at all playing billiards just like I'm not good at video games lol

That's the fun of any type of game, though.
You don't necessarily need to be good at it as long as you find it interesting.

I'd probably be lucky to pot a single red in reality, but I'd keep playing anyway.
It is fun to be good and get better and be able to compete, but if you're
enjoying yourself in a thing, then that's the whole point. :)

Snooker is harder than pool, mostly because you've got to be more precise. The pockets are more rounded off, so if you even graze them, it bounces out. You've got to aim for the center of pocket, every time. On a regular pool table you can "cheat" the pocket.

I used to play a lot of pool :)

As for your original question, I've been doing photography, boxing shots pretty often, but Landscapes when I can get out of town. I've been working out, sometimes at the boxing gym I shoot for. (that's a workout!) I'm trying to get back out and cycle more, not enough time in the day man.

That's really all I've been up to... Aside from talking to Tink

Bad Friends podcast. Been playing catch up from the start. God I love comedians.
