Health factors affect people differently as we age. I went most my life without one iota of any type health problem. When I hit 50, everything seemed to happen all at once. Even my long reign of looking so young came to a sudden halt. "Things" stopped working so well.

I also learned, quickly, the difference between colon and collon became obvious as well.

Oh well. It is what it is. I laugh harder and love deeper.

Hyperlinks (y'know, the items you click on) didn't make it into a software product till 1984. Twenty five fucking years. Nelson said, "There's a great difference between a clear vision and a straight path."

Nelson was still gonzo. Burke was formulaic but fun. Leary had obviously done way too much LSD. But it was a fun Faire. Jerry Pournelle was there, drunk on his ass, insulting people. Adam Osborne and Woz mingled. TI gave away as many LEDs as you could carry. We still have a few jars full.

The big lesson:

My dad will have his ashes scattered on Friday July 6th.

My sister is bringing my dad's ex-girlfriend to the funeral. I know it's to comfort my sister but to me it's immoral and highly disrespectful to bring a person my father never wanted to deal with ever again.
