“You don’t understand Donald Trump,” Stone said he told the man. “He doesn’t pay for anything.”

Looks like Dumpster might have lucked out on this one: his insistence on ripping people off financially trumped his willingness to commit treason.

Caputo is one who got the fear of god put him in by Robert Mueller. He's become so timid ever since he had to meet with him.

BFD. A known FBI informant named Greenberg? (Maybe it was actually Greenbergovich) Offered to sell dirt on Clinton and the offer was rejected. Does it occur to you this may have been some kind of entrapment scheme?

You have no idea what entrapment means, do you?

As usual, you totally miss the point. The point is that Trumpians who met with him lied to Congress about having met with any such person. It doesn't mean a rat's ass who he really is and what he really was doing, he purported to be a conduit to the Russians who could provide dirt on Clinton to the Trump campaign, and Trump campaign folks showed up to the meeting on that basis--and then lied to Congress about never having met with anyone like that.

Of course I do. It's the act of a law enforcement agency persuading somebody to break the law and then arresting that person for it. Sometimes it's called a sting. I don't know if "Greenberg" was a Russian or not. He may say now that he is, but he has already shown himself to be a crook, so how can you believe him?

You REALLY are incapable of getting it, aren't you? Tsk, tsk. So sad.

If "Greenberg" was a Russian national, there might be something there. If he was not, there is nothing.

Caputo is a minor player. I'm merely saying he used to be all over the MSM as a very vocal and rabid Trump supporter, always put the Special Counsel down. It was worthless, a witch hunt, etc.

Then he had to go get interviewed and he's barely opened his yap since.

The people who have spilled the beans about being interviewed like Sam Nunberg have basically come away the same, terrified at how thorough and professional Mueller was and how much he knows.

You don't hear Caputo yammering on about a witch hunt anymore.

I answered that. It doesn't matter whatsoever who he really was. It matters who they thought he was and would give them (although they didn't want to pay for it)--and then lied about it to Congress.

Really, Box, you are stupidest person on the discussion board. Always have been; always will be. A total loss to try to talk to.

You are one stupid-ass motherfucker, Boxlicker101.

Russian crook is a crook? Uh, that's kind of the point: he's a dirtbag, and Stone met with him.

And it doesn't really matter if he wasn't a Russian national. What matters -- does it help you understand if I type slowly? -- is that Stone believed him to be a Russian national, and yet denied in testimony that he had met with any Russians. And in the email exchange between Stone and Caputo, they referred to him as "the Russian."

It's plausible that Stone forgot about that meeting when he testified before Congress, but that's really his only out: whether "Henry Greenberg" was trying to entrap Stone in cooperation with the FBI, whether Greenberg is a low-criminal, does not matter. Stone believed him to be a Russian, met with him, and yet denied under oath to Congress that he met with any Russians.

Other than possibly forgetting about the meeting, that's perjury.

How do you know what Stone believed? It's quite possible he believed "Greenberg" to be an American of Russian descent or a naturalized citizen. He could still be referred to as "The Russian." In any event, since nothing ever came of the meeting, it's a big "So-what?"

But I do have to wonder why the FBI is using an illegal alien as an informant. This is actually a violation of the law.

And yet, no law enforcement agency was involved with Greenberg offering information and Stone did at least talk with him when the mention of dirt on Hillary came up.

It should be noted this twice now members of the con artist cabal have said they never met with Russians, or talked with Russians, or in any way coordinated with Russians during the campaign, only to turn around and say, "Whoops! We "forgot". We did talk with Russians when they said they had information on Hillary."

Once in the Tower, and this is the second.

These people have shown themselves to be consummate liars, so who can we believe them when they say anything?

How can you possibly know that the FBI was not involved. Stone did talk with the man who called himself Henry Greenberg and appeared to be an American of Russian descent. The man offered to sell info about Hillary Clinton. Stone, possibly smelling a rat, rejected the offer. Years later, when asked about this encounter, he denied it. This may have been a lie or he may have forgotten about such an unimportant incident. Or, he may not have known the man was a Russian national.

Your delusion is telling. No matter what the evidence, there's always some excuse. According to you, there's no way the con artist or anyone in his campaign could have been working with the Russians, directly or indirectly. Nope, it was all some "deep state" attempt to frame him.

It's as if reality doesn't exist for you.

It probably was then and is now, with the "deep state" members of the FBI being especially involved.

Sessions makes three. If I recall correctly, Page makes it four.

Actually they've shown themselves to be piss poor liars, not consummate, which has the connotation of "accomplished" and they are anything but accomplished at lying. I think maybe the word you were looking for is "congenital" or maybe "constant" or "flagrant."

I was using definition 5:

being of the highest or most extreme degree
a work of consummate skill; an act of consummate savagery.

meaning, the most extreme liars.

Since there are other connotations for the word, I'm sure that Trumpettes like Box will make the assumption it's a compliment.
