OMG yesterday was the best day in a long ass time!

There was caffeine & carbs....diet coke, donuts, pizza
There was all levels of First Responders at yesterday's Touch a Truck event (minus military). The funniest thing was when the Sheriff's Helicopter came to land near us & almost took 4 of us hang gliding while holding on to our tent.
Caught the Jimmy Buffett concert in Orlando by Live stream last night
after I got to spend some time with one of my favorite friends to catch up & laugh

well update...
I got my laptop back and it's working great now.
had to get some new security malware software on it since I'm on a network now here at the house.
I've avoided knee surgery. the original shoulder is kicking my butt but the docs all seem to think it's from my neck. So I guess that's the next step.

I never had a virus before cause I was on my own net connection with the proper security software.
I had 3 and it was some sort of thing that came in thru one PC and was seeking more thru the network
to head towards ransom ware

We had someone try to send us ransomware. My son took network security at college, so he caught it, found the IP address where it originated from, and sent it to the local FBI office.

He received a thank you letter, along with a note stating if he needed a recommendation for a job in network security, he could use them LOL

very cool! My tech God here for the support team got something & put it on my laptop & then on all 3 of his laptops. so no more worry. freaked me out cause I had no sound once it booted up.

So bummed out....

By this time on Monday my best & favorite PT team will all be gone.
My Doc is off 4 months having her baby. Our student is rotated to a new location. Our admin left because she didn't want to deal with the company that owns them without Doc there. Our assistant will be there on mon& wed only so I will get to see her once a week. The rest will be a crap shoot on things there. The company refused to even interview anyone for the admin's job. The PT who was to cover for my Doc might or might not be covering for her. which means floaters in who usually range from afraid to work on me to old school types who look at all the holistic stuff I do as a joke.

The assistant is taking a tape class to learn more on how to tape me up which is a great thing unless we get in a floater who won't let her tape me up. Some of these old school type get into their rut of treating only seniors with knees & hips. Cupping is only maybe ok since Michael Phelps showed up in the Olympic pool with the marks. <rolls eyes> some of us have in around 10 years of using that and acupuncture to help with the pain. The KT Tape is awesome too acting like a brace to keep my shoulders in place.

I know it's not the first time I've had to fight for what works for me, but I'm just getting tired... ya know?

well I'm alive, tired, cranky and didn't get a long enough break from all the medical crap. My primary care doctor stopped writing pain meds... Thank you DEA... The new pain mgt doctor is cool & proactive. He's good w/ everything I take and do like the KT Tape, CBD caps and acupuncture, is trying to find a muscle relaxer to help me sleep at night & ordered an MRI on my neck.

MRI results are spinal stenosis C5 w/a herniated disc bulge to the left which is giving me the headaches that only heat seems to help. The ortho team shifted me to a neck doctor (Sept 5) & PT as maintenance to keep me out of surgery. I've seen the whole med team this week minus CVS & the pain mgt dude. I'm wiped out.

He's good w/ everything I take and do like the KT Tape, CBD caps and acupuncture, is trying to find a muscle relaxer to help me sleep at night & ordered an MRI on my neck.

Thank You for the kind words. I sure needed the virtual hug this week.
I was really worried the pain mgt guy who ordered the MRI could throw a fit & refuse me my pain meds if I chose not to use the ortho team he belongs to. All my doctors said no way that he can since it's a conflict of interest.

So now it's just keep things rolling and see the new ortho neck guy to find out how he wants to proceed.

Doctors say I will never get better or go into remission...I am not giving up, but I want to make others aware. A nap won't help. I am not lazy. I am on meds. I struggle with pain, mobility issues and fatigue every day. The most frustrating part is people look at me and say "It can't be that bad; you look fine." Despite the fact that my body is experiencing excruciating pain all over. I apologize if I miss events that I would love to attend. One day you'll understand my daily struggles. This disease affects me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I need your support, not your judgment."

With the post comes the following request:

Cya in 6 months unless you fall down or can't grip a paint brush. too bad about the headaches. So I called my shoulder doc (who referred me) from the parking lot & left him a message. I called the insurance company and turned the neck guy in. If you don't want patents or only want to cherry pick problems then don't book appointments. He refused to listen about my doctors working as a team & wrote a script for PT that dropped 2/3rds of what I was already doing in PT. so that was trash

My shoulder doctor's nurse called this morning. Their whole team was really upset about the bull shot from the neck guy. My first clue was when he didn't have any idea who the doctor was who rebuilt both my Achilles tendons. That doctor was the president of the institute these doctors all for for. I should have just got up and walked out then.

Updates

Hurricane Michael is missing us here in Tampa Bay except for the outer bands of rain & wind. We have some flooding but we are also at the king tide time (new moon) added in with the storm surge. Our teams are getting ready to head up to help out. Our pole dancers (Duke Energy linesmen), National Guard, FHP, first responder water teams back from the Carolinas, etc are on standby.

AWESOME NEWS...
I've been MIA the last week or so because my PT doctor is back from new baby leave. She did a complete new eval & I am over 20% weaker on the left side since she's been gone. How much is the neck disc issues & how much is the PT who covered for her not tweaking out or adjusting the exercises we have no clue but she's been kicking things around. Deep tissue work is back along with new exercises that are leaving me sweating & shaky after only a few reps. I feel like I've been in a car wreck for a couple days & then I feel more like a normal person just sore. That equals almost no more headaches as my head & shoulders fight over my neck. Now I hope to be able to get back to painting.

The nasty old lady at the pain mgt doctor's office is gone. The patients there yesterday were all celebrating. I had called the insurance company a month ago & held a patient rights talk in the waiting room (for free) on how to turn her (or anyone) who treats them bad like this... The people he borrows staff from couldn't sweep it under the carpet anymore. It's amazing when you use the words "fraud" for her refusing to correct even basic patient info suddenly gets their attention. I refuse to be charged for the office visits because this woman refusing to do even her most basic job correcting addresses. The new "borrowed" staff are REALLY nice as in polite, professional and do their jobs No more nasty woman making patients cry, refusing to correct wrong information on the accounts or treating them like they were trash.
