The best "off the shelf" rifle for long range match work out there is the Ruger Precision Rifle. It's not cheap, but as a package costs less than anything you might build up by pieces parts. The 6.5 Creedmor out of the box, add a scope, and you're 1000 yd ready.

BTW, if you look at that path read the more recent reviews on the rifle. There were some beefs with the rifle when it first came out but Ruger has diligently worked through the issues.

Morning Wat.

Well, the weather liar followed through on his threats of rain. Just a light sprinkle as we speak.

The coil on #5 cyl. took a crap on me yesterday, so that will be replaced this AM. Uncharacteristically it's the easiest one to get at. Might as well clean the engine compartment while I have the hood up.

I'll do some shopping when I run out to pick up the new coil and other than that I plan on sitting back and relaxing while the idiots that haven't seen rain in 6 months start playing bumper cars along about 10 AM. The sounds of siren's should replace the sounds of the birds chirping in celebration of a long over due bath about that time.

I was up early too, took the pups for some cool morning air and got some resistance training when a thumper decided to run in front of us.

Back now, I have coffee, some perfectly cooked eggs and a chore list for the day. I'm sure the pups will cheer from their soft spots as they nap and view the vacuum cleaner with hate in their eyes.

Having worked from 1 yesterday afternoon until 5 this morning, I'm pretty exhausted. On the way home two separate freeway on ramps were inexplicably closed so I couldn't get on. Finally get on the freeway get almost home and a side spur of the railroad that is almost never used is closed. They rolled the train just far enough that it won't untrigger the crossing and here I sit waiting for a stupid signal that shouldn't even be on right now.

Edited to add insult to injury.

I make it to home sweet home in a neighborhood that hasn't seen a new house in quite some time and the neighbors Over The Back Fence are putting in a new house hammers air nailers and a great big crane.

I'm hoping earplugs and exhaustion takes care of that.

Meth or speech-to-text: you be the judge.

If I were where you are Wat I'd be eating catfish until I was sick of it. It really is that good. About the only thing in that part of the country that's actually a local specialty and fresh. OK, I'll shut up about the catfish now. :)

What's stopping me is, I had a bad expereince with catfish once many years ago. In fact, I think it was the same week that I first signed up at Lit.

So what you're saying is, the spirit of Lit ruined the fish and that I should give it, and peas, a chance. Wok likes peas, as I recall.

I see that there's a going to Hell thread. Hell doesn't scare Wat. Been there, doe that, and don't haz to go back . . . unless I do the things to get there.

I know, that concept is way too simple for the religious, Allah be praised.

Happy Father's Day mother-fuckers!

:D

Old lines are the best lines. What a great sleep I had last night! My coffee is just now on.

I can sum up the week's news like this:

(Volcano?) See! The report says that everything I ever said about him/her and guilt/innocence has been vindicated and that makes you a liar and a Trump supporter/hater!

;) ;)

Saw some interesting Mopar/Hemi Art in the Denver airport. Imitation Warhol.

I now have it in for the 77 (biker) Gang.

They act like they own the road and when the guy in front decides to hand signal that he has already lane-changed, the asshole at the end of the column does everything he can to follow including nearly clipping my bumper. Their local chapter clubhouse is just down the road from us. I might have to treat it to a Molotov.

This one's for you! ;)

I do have to admire the fortitude of a man that would travel with two women.....and survived the trip. :D
