Memorial Day here in the States is the official unofficial kick off of summer. Most usually kicked off by some backyard grilling. In my years, I've come to learn that BBQ is not universial and often times everyone thinks theirs is best.

So tell us, how do you define BBQ and why should we believe it to be best?

One needs a big ass spatula, usually with a wooden handle and 4X the size of a regular kitchen spatula. Also, there needs to be a cooler of beer within sight, a gathering of men than never tell the main grill master when a steak or burger needs flipped and at least one milf wandering about they all want share their meat with.

For me, I have a deep vein of humility that permeates all parts of my life. (I know! Bragging about humility! Jeez) But it makes it hard for me to show of. I've always preferred someone else to pull me out.
At work, I'm rarely the one to toot my own horn or point out what a great job I do, but someone else always will and that means more to me, to be acknowledged by someone else.
Sexually, the idea of being "shown off" indicates a value. That someone would value me or be so proud of me that they would want to share me or show me off is incredibly erotic to me. The idea of being given like a gift and received in the same way.

In downstate Ill. Just burgers and brats. Important thing is to keep the two toddlers in sight; they can get to the street fast. X always makes up lots of snacks, but then, one of the girls will bring scallloped potatoes and green beans. This takes hours, of course, and thats the best part. Usually about 8 of us. Plenty of time to catch up with all the family gossip.

Hmm? I've read the responses. Ruby and Trekka didn't surprise me, Suz_anne did somewhat but there's a difference in here and RL. SNW...yeah, the Wild Mustang in Montana is an apt description.


As for me? I don't like to be noticed or stand out in RL at all. It's only rarely here that I'll push the envelope of silliness or whatnot. So being shown of is a definite no, showing off is a maybe once in a blue moon kind of thing.
