File this one under Things I've Never Seen Before:

2 weeks ago I bought bananas, green, but I figured they would ripen in 4-5 days and it would be fine. No... These bananas have never ripened,not even a little bit, and the stems have started to rot. I suppose they were harvested too immature to continue ripening. Anyway, I have given up and tossed them.
 
Fruit anymore seems to go from unripe to rotten. If it is ever actually "ripe," it's for such a short period of time that you'd have to be staring at it to catch it as its best tasting state. Then again, watched unripe fruit probably never ripens. Did you scare it by sitting and staring at it???


So the hillbillies came out to their old red Pontiac yesterday to go somewhere. It was the whole family, inbred and outbred. The woman, who was bigger than both of the "men," herded the kids. The men actually changed the tire - right rear. It had a slow leak and would go flat in a day and a half or so.


There seemed to be a bit of and issue between Rightie Tightie and Lefty Loosie. It was fun to watch, both in the jacking stage (it was a screw-type jack) and in the lug loosening stage. Nevertheless, they got the donut installed, and shock of shocks, it actually had air in it. The whole damned crew piled into the car and off they went while I wagered a friend by text that the donut would still be on the car come Independence Day.


You could have knocked me over with a (very hard steel) feather when they came back 30-40 minutes later on a repaired proper tire.

Honestly, I have never in my life seen a banana absolutely refuse to ripen. I think they were broken,so henceforth I shall ask to be directed to the unbroken unripened bananas

Try putting them in a paper bag next time. It works most of the time.

I haven't purchased bananas in ages. Mostly berries of one sort or another of late.
 
I, too, keep a magnifying glass handy.

As far as bananas go, the two places where I shop for groceries always seems to have ripe bananas, they are hardly ever green. If I want really green bananas, I could go to ALDI's, their bananas and avocados are never ripe. Ever.

Anybody want a worm? This early bird has no use for it what-so-ever.

At first read I read 'woman.' I was thinking WTF, you selling your wife?

I need to clean my glasses.

Or whip out the ol' magnifying glass.
I can use 'command+' to increase the font size, but it also increases everything else and stretches the screen.
 
Lindsey Grahamnesty just cracks me up sometimes. He just told Judge Jeanine that he knows that Trump didn't collude with the Russians because he won't even collude with his own government; he just does what he wants to. lol...
 
Three things I always check, shoes, earrings, ring finger.

A woman that doesn't wear sensible shoes is most likely going to be a high maintenance proposition. The earrings might be an indication as to whether she has a wild side or not. The ring finger shouldn't need explanation.
