Absolutely...

...in the UK, and I imagine most other developed and developing countries, front gardens have been replaced by off-street parking, and back gardens paved or covered in artificial grass. We need pollinators, as those links describe. But we also need all kinds of species of insect to keep plants and trees growing healthily.
