Admiral Jackson may withdraw. He has not made a decision.

Of course, this would make the new Liberals happy. The don't like anything military unless it suits (verb in this sense) their conflicting and questionable needs/behavior.

Verbal abuse to inferior ranks? Check.

Drunkenness on duty? Check.

Handing out barbs and bennies freely? Check.

Sounds like any veteran's dream.

So far all I've seen are applause and excellent evaluations. CNN is the source of the allegarions from anonymous folks.

Your use of the null word 'Liberals' renders the rest of your comment meaningless.

Yep, ThatsTheGuy does that a lot. Pretty slippery slope these days to reveal as Trump's kind. Attempts to deflect and deflect have a tendency of sinking in the swamp the current administration points to and then wallows in.

Forget the drinking habits. Where has he shown the ability and experience to manage a 380,000 employee organization?

Exactly.
Trump has the logical capacity of a small child so when he finds somebody he personally likes and sees a correlation between a headless agency and their character/profession he appoints them to it. He doesn't have the reasoning ability to ask "well is this person actually a competent administrator?".
That's why he's got the highest turnover rate of any administration ever; because he's appointed people who have no idea what they're doing when it comes to running an entity as enormous as a government.

Outlined in an interview last year with Trump:
TRUMP: ...(unintelligible)...The financial cost of everything is so massive, every agency. This is thousands of times bigger, the United States, than the biggest company in the world. The second-largest company in the world is the Defense Department. The third-largest company in the world is Social Security. The fourth-largest — you know, you go down the list.
[...]
It’s massive. And every agency is, like, bigger than any company. So you know, I really just see the bigness of it all, but also the responsibility.
Who knew?

Thanks for bringing something logical to the thread guys. Thanks.

Cool. Verbal abuse to inferior ranks has been extremely common in every military organization in the world since the term "military" was invented. Not an everday thing, but it does happen and is often greatly exaggerated. But of course, you were probably there.

Don't know about the other stuff nor anything else about the guy.

No legal binding force? Possibly.
Your problem: no such thing as 'liberals' exists. Gups and Dums? Sure, as registered members. Xians and Muslims? Sure, by profession of faith. Auto- and boat- and gun-owners? Sure, just look at the possessions. But 'liberals'? No organization, no hierarchy, no canonical texts. Just anyone you don't like. Feh.

More Jackson Follies

  • Lost track of the large amount of Percocets being dispensed at the White House (losing count of opiates prescribed is grounds for suspension of medical license in all 50 states)
  • Prescribed medication to himself in violation of medical ethics, when caught, had the paperwork rewritten to have his own Physician's Assistant write them for him at his direction.
  • Crashed his government car driving drunk leaving a Secret Service retirement party

Admiral Jackson, MD withdrew his name from consideration as VA secretary today.

I wonder why?

If the confirmation is over now, when does the court martial start?

The Dr Feelgood formula: feed'em percosets and cheeseburgers.

Lets forget he was a doc to 3 US Presidents. I could sit here and talk FACTS all day long, but it wouldn't matter to the uninformed. How could he have even kept his job if all the accusations and rumors about his drinking and that wreck were all true.

Just when I thought you lefties couldn't get any wackier, you take wacky and fruitcake to a whole new level.

I do feel slightly bad that Ronny's sins (or his enemies whims) had to be made public. But he really wasn't qualified for the position.

At least it suggests that sucking up to DT isn't always enough to get an important position in our government.

I Got Pills from Ronny Jackson. But That’s Not the Part I Regret
“Without warning or explanation, a member of the medical team entered and began handing out sleeping pills like candy.”

That’s a sentence from my recent memoir, Thanks, Obama, describing an overnight trip to Germany in 2015... I never thought I was witnessing potentially scandalous behavior.

In some ways, I still don’t. Even in retrospect, the sleeping pill dispensing doesn’t seem like that big a deal. Presidential staffers are expected to hop between time zones without missing a beat. If anything, on my sole foreign trip as a presidential speechwriter, having a Navy doctor pass out sleeping aids added to the quasi-military sense of mission that animated Air Force One. It was the same patriotic thrill I got the first time a flight attendant justified the ludicrously high-calorie meal by telling me “An army marches on its stomach.”

As White House staffers, we were supposed to conk out on command and awake ready to flawlessly execute. I actually regret not taking a pill (it was cold; I slept badly) but I don’t regret being handed one. It didn’t make me feel sketched out. It made me feel special.
Only an allegation, sure. From before Ronnie's nomination, not after. Only an allegation.

Interesting that you don't seem to know what an IG Report is--but I'm not all that surprised.

So ya think he would make a bad VA Sec just because he washes his ambien and percocets down with scotch?

I think the only crazier Va Sec appointment Trump could make would ThatsTheGuy. So, I assume that's next. :D

Interesting you don't seem capable of contributing anything relevant pops. WTF does that do to change anything? Dumbass much?

I bet your whiney little ass didn't serve 10 seconds in uniform. This isn't just about the VA Hospital you fucking moron.

Wrong interpretation, but your entitled to it. Never mentioned anything outside of libs, "gups", and "dums". Pls explain the rest.

People get tired of hearing all the Obama BS thrown down their throats in this place and then his or HRC supporters get all whiney when people start firing back.

You're smarter than that Hypoxia. You're not one of these clueless posters who claim this or that and don't know one freaking thing.

The ones pissed most about this thread are stolen valor types and/or people who have no fucking idea what the Veteran's Administration is. All they have to do is google it. And I spent years listening to Liberals bitch about the military when they didn't like it and beg for it when they decided they needed it. I don't give a fuck who gets pissed off at me for telling the truth. Next week, they won't give a shit about the VA. Typical.

Take a look at Lit's posting history over the years if you can find whatever hasn't been erased or deleted. Why do you think I got it in for RoryN so much? Why do you think he keeps creating alts to follow me and others about the internet? People got tired of the BS.

Can't say I blame him Rob. I don't think he wanted it to begin with. It's like belittling a pink wall because it had no say so in being pink.

I've contributed that you obviously aren't the brightest bulb in the chandelier not to have realized and accepted enough validity (including an IG Report) of the negative information on Randy Jackson to know he doesn't qualify for the job. You weren't forced to post your stupid and ignorant post on this.

The presidents he's been doctor to would unlikely be tattled to on his behavior and none but Trump, who is unqualified himself, would have given a thought to making him VA secretary (duh).

More moronic deflection and distraction?

I must say that your avatar pretty much nails you.
