So I'm new to Literotica and i uploaded my first story. But i have no idea how to add new chapters to it. Is there a method to do this, if so, then how? Can someone help me.

Just submit your story like you did before, and use as title " Out of This World. Ch. 1". (or whatever chapter number you are submitting)

Suggest start with Chapter 01, just in case you get past a Chapter 10. That way, everything stays in the right order on your story page.

Also, Laurel looks after all of the link files, you just need to let her know it's part of a series, as Ruben notes.

Note - you can get away with not numbering the first chapter and it will still sequence properly. After that, yeah, pad to two digits unless you're sure you won't need them.

LIT's naming is alphanumeric. I've done stuff like this (but with different names):

Diddlyfuck
Diddlyfuck: A Hot Fuck
Diddlyfuck: Bad Sex 01
Diddlyfuck: Bad Sex 02
Diddlyfuck: Bad Sex 03
Diddlyfuck: Clusterfuck
Diddlyfuck: Diddled Again
Diddlyfuck: Diddled Before
Diddlyfuck: Diddled Complete
Diddlyfuck: Ewww 01
Diddlyfuck: Ewww 02
Diddlyfuck: Fucked Again

Et fucking cetera. This is nice because no matter the order they're written and posted, they'll show up indexed together in alphanumeric order. And it lets you have various storylines in one story universe, if you need that sort of thing.

I've thought about this. There's a disadvantage from a reader's point of view, however, because if the reader through a search or some another means comes across Diddlyfuck:Clusterfuck, the reader won't know that the story is just a chapter in a longer story, or where in the story it fits.

I give credit to readers' intelligence to figure an obvious pattern out. For me, the clue is in the number, "Gee, look, Part 04. I wonder if that means three previous parts I should read first?"

Granted, that doesn't work with the alpha sequencing only, but then I'd assume it's a stand-alone story, perhaps within a broader theme. That's how my Songs of Seduction series will work, anyway.

I've used alphanumerics two ways. In one, each subtitle marks a subseries within a story cycle or universe. My A TASTE OF INCEST stories that are numbered are together; those unnumbered are standalone. Characters and settings in A TASTE OF LEMONADE 01,02,03 are nowhere near those in A TASTE OF HONEY 01,02,03,04 or A TASTE OF KUMQUAT. Incest is the only common factor.

Another, each subtitle is part of the story sequence, but a numbered subset were intended as one chapter but they grew, alas. THE BOOK OF RUTH is like that. Any sequels to THE BOTANISTS: An Adventure will go that way; they'll be readably standalone.

I think you misunderstood what I said.

Readers will understand Story: Chapter 04. They'll clue in that this is the fourth chapter of the story.

But they won't necessarily know that Story: Mind-Blowing Sex is a chapter in a series. They may not have any clue. There's no reason for them to have any clue. When they get to the story and start reading, they may be confused about who's who because the story assumes they know who the characters are.

So it makes sense to me to number chapters, rather than to use alphabetic titles where each chapter follows the previous one alphabetically.

Absolutely agree that - it's a bit of a no-brainer, really. Using alpha based chapter sequencing is ridiculously complicated - I can't think why anybody would bother doing it that way in a chaptered story.
