Yeah, I know. I don't write, don't read the Lit stories for the most part, don't drink coffee, tea or alcohol. But I like the people that hang out around here and do all those or some of those things. You are an interesting group of people with a variety of interests. I learn a lot reading the posts here. :)

So... you feel comfortable hanging around a bunch of twisto's whose sole commonality is writing porn? That's solid weird, but like the saying goes, Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.

Welcome, sir, madam or whatever your chosen variety might be. Nice to have you here and you'll fit right in. :rose:

And what, one may ask, was the first thing seen this morning, as dawn dragged her gloomy fingers 'cross the sky ?
More Effin' snow.
It's really not fun any more.

I'm off for some hot coffee and maybe even breakfast.

Thanks, I have been around a long time.

Coffee for the early crew. I'm off to bed.

Sluuuuuurp. Gone. I'll make the next pot and head off to work. Yawns loudly. Stayed up writing last night after I should've closed my eyes and slept into my early morning writing time. I have a new caramel flavored coffee and it smells great.

The Meteorological Office is contemplating issuing a Red warning for snow. We rarely get beyond yellow - be prepared for transport disruption - to orange - transport disruption likely.

Red means the tea and coffee supplies might not get through. Disaster!

Morning again. The only reason the phone is still in the house is the calls were important. Not as important as my sleep but the caller thought otherwise.

Okay, fresh coffee for you and a pot for me. Oh yeah, and something for breakfast.

Don't they always?

I hope all is well for the rest of you.

Weather: The forecast has eased off. Now only a foot of snow (minimum) uphill this weekend, still a bit much to traverse with our vehicles, especially when it thaws and refreezes. We might return home in a week or so, for scheduled lab work soon after.

Health: Dang, my heart's in rhythm! That new cheap med seems to be doing the trick. I can maybe avoid an upcoming electro-jumpstart (cardioversion) and go straight to rewiring (cryablation). Now if only the rest of me would realize I'm better...

Music: I've decided on a mandola solution. A custom mandola the right size will cost over US$1k. But a tolerably-good tenor taropatch (8-string) 'uke fitted with nylon mando strings will cost about US$120. It'll be almost as good as a custom mando, but quieter, and better for fingerpicking. And cost much less.

Coffee: I'll risk it. It's some generic hospitality blend but it's better than gas station brew. Hey, does any cocoa powder remain? Toss that in, for the humanity.

Sweet Lord, have Mercy !
cryo- this and cardio- that make me feel quite queazy.
Thoughts & Prayers, pal.

And we now return you to the studio to listen to Carroll Gibbons and his Savoy Orpheans with a programme of dance music.
And yes, I'd love a cup of coffee.
Does anyone know much about Windows 7 ?

I agree.

We got snow (again); lately it seems to come in short, fairly heavy, bursts.
And the hot coffee is always welcome.

PS. Has anyone here read "The Cookoo's Egg"? (no, it's not a Lit story)

A couple of times. It was brilliant and so is he.

And now I'm off to make enchiladas for 24 at a women's & children's center. It's a monthly thing these days. Next month is chili.

Supper time has rolled around and I have no idea what i want to eat. Well, I do but she's away on a trip to visit a sick sister.

Okay, fresh coffee for the evening crew while I rummage around and see what I can catch.

Just when ya think ya got things nailed.down, reality twitches.

We got the call around noon. The cardio folks have fast-tracked me for the restart procedure -- tomorrow. That's a couple weeks sooner than expected. I wonder who died? The fun will be trying to find parking for our 25ft / 7.5m RV in the cramped hospital neighborhood. Maybe lube the sides?

I need music.

From the Hotel Sheets in Downtown Plunketville, the Publican Broadcasting Company presents: The Music of Pete DeAngelis and his Loyal Plunketvillevanians!

Oh, your red scarf matches your eyes
You closed your cover before striking
Father had the shipfitter blues
And loving you has made me bananas.

Oh, you burned your fingers that evening
While my back was turned.
I asked the waiter for iodine
But I dined all alone.

Thanks y'all. I feel like I'm about to play an old record, the Firesign Theater's WAITING FOR THE ELECTRICIAN (Or Someone Like Him).
Rocky Rococco, criminal mastermind: "You haven't seen the last of me, Danger!"
Nick Danger, third (private) eye: "No, but the first of you TURNS MY STOMACH!"
These cardioverts, with switches thrown by docs jocularly called Electricians, are strange. Take meds and a good breakfast early. Then fast. Then wait a few hours, get sedated, get zapped, and lay around a few more hours. Late dinner FTW! This assumes I'm arrhythmic enough to need it. I'll let the pros from Dover (*) figure that out.

(*) Pros From Dover: M*A*S*H movie reference.

Pre-op instructions didn't mention coffee limits so I'll slurp just enough of whatever it is this place stocks in their rooms. [/me examines bag] Peerless European Royale. Okay... Y'all are welcome to whatever's left. Ciao.

Why am I awake at 4:30 AM? Because I fell asleep at 8PM last night. That is the easy answer. That is the easy answer. No snooze alarm on my cat is the second part.

A hearty good luck to Hypoxia.

Fresh coffee for the morning crew is now available, which means I'm up and at em one way or another.

The cat is fed, I'm medicated, I'm fed, and waiting to be caffeinated. :)

Coffee? Yes please. I'm out the door in a few minutes and it's cold and dark outside and someone said to expect snow today. Brrrrrrrr and I hope they're wrong wrong wrong

Get home this afternoon and I will be writing for the competition and readers are pleading for the next chapters of Chinese Takeout and Happy Birthday and I have a final draft of Mistaken Identity to finish a last run thru of. Then it's on to the next one.....
