So, instead of a school shooter actually going into the classrooms, he sits in a windowless van across the street and shoots as the kids funnel through the choke points you created? Remember, THE SHOOTER doesn't care if he's caught or dies, he just wants to slaughter.

You CANNOT stop these people without stopping THE PERSON DOING IT. None of the gun control laws, gun bans, security details, or the armoring of the exterior premises to keep the bad guy away will stop this. Thinking it will is lunacy because there is ALWAYS a way.

A strategy of only using defense is a losing strategy. Eventually someone will find a way to defeat your security measures. I just did it to your proposed solution in less than 1 day.

I still think that it's a matter of availability.
I remember reading somewhere (when there was the big hoo ha about the opioid epidemic in the States) that, while drug use by teenagers is higher in the States, alcoholism is higher among Europeans. Why do I think that? One of the reasons is that alcohol is much more affordable and available.

And teens in other countries aren't doing That flash either. Suicide amongst teenage boys is on the rise; it's just that many countries are less transparent about it.
