WASHINGTON — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi ends 8-hour speech on ‘dreamer’ immigrants.

yeah, I know that it is possible that the whole tRump military parade demand was merely a distraction controversy. It was only a matter of days, when the lies would be exposed.

But, still, an interesting question is of when the parade will happen. How big of a scandal, is it, that needs a military parade.

Then, again, Emperor Carrot Head promised a yuuuuge, beautiful inauguration parade. Was meager, miserable, and ignored.

The massive crowd was with the Women's Resistance.

I like this image: The chickens increasingly squawk and flutter as the fox approaches the henhouse. Oh, do the feathers and hot chickenshit fly!

We know some of "how big a scandal?" Tromp.Com owned by Putin because laundering mafiya money long time. Financial records will detail how deep are Russian claws stuck into Tromp, and what he's done to earn their cash.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi just reached the 7 hour mark, in her fight against Republicans that are willing to hurt children and teens.

Republicans must be really proud of splitting a mother from her American husband and two children.

Federal judge blocks deportation of Rhode Island mom, but she remains in ICE detention

2018/02/07 ·

Lilian Calderon’s husband, Luis Gordillo, a U.S. citizen, said in a news conference that his wife’s detention is hurting him and disrupting the lives of their 4-year-old daughter and 22-month-old son

She complied with every demand that the government has made.

I.C.E. is targeting easy pickings.

Calderon’s parents brought her to the U.S. when she was three years old.

She is 30 years old, now.

She sought permanent residency status because of her 2016 marriage to Gordillo, her high school sweetheart.
Bill Clinton holds the single-year record for deportations, and enacted 245(i) and (j), which cut off a route to permanent legal residency for millions of decent, hard-working, law-abiding, tax-paying, economy-boosting Mexican immigrants.
Barack Obama holds the career record, btw.

Dems are no better than Repubs on this issue, especially those who have mouths as equally loud supporting Mexican immigrants now as they had condemning Mexican immigrants 20+ years ago. What changed? Our numbers. We're much, much larger now, a -hell- of a lot more than just the 10M figure that gets tossed about. We're here, this is pretty much our country again, there's more coming, and, ironically, we now PWN the Party which has actually hurt us the most in the last 20 years.

Deal with it.

4. The attempt to turn the question of gun violence into a question of mental health is obscene. Of course, people who kill children en masse are crazy. That’s the given. Saying this says nothing; every country contains mentally ill and potentially violent people.

Only America arms them.

When Donald Trump, who last year signed a bill to end a mild Obama-era rule designed to keep mass-killing weapons out of the hands of people with certain mental illnesses, talks about reporting people who are “mentally disturbed” to the proper authorities—well, irony piles upon irony, and the only adequate tribute is contempt and silence.

Wired reports that following the tragic shooting in South Florida on Wednesday, Russian bots "flooded Twitter" to spread pro-gun messaging and sew discord.

Why it matters: Bots were being used to spread misinformation about who the shooter was and what groups he belonged to. Per Wired, the goal is "to amplify the loudest voices in that fight, deepening the divisions between us."

https://www.axios.com/russian-twitter-bots-shooting-edb4d843-c323-40f9-834e-319ab7e47aec.html

Schafer believes the trolls are using the message to attract more eyeballs. "That allows them to then push content that is more directly related to the Kremlin’s geopolitical agenda," such as the Nunes memo, he says. "I don’t think the Kremlin cares one way or another whether we enact stricter gun control laws," he adds. "It's just being used as bait, basically."

Public awareness that antagonistic bots flood the Twitter debate hasn’t stopped them from achieving their goals of ratcheting up the vitriol—even amid a live tragedy like the Parkland shooting. The goal, after all, isn't to help one side or the other of the gun control debate win. It's to amplify the loudest voices in that fight, deepening the divisions between us.

It leaves me with the question- If it is a box, within a box, within a box, (Russian nesting dolls, represent plots within plots ?) What ultimate fate is America to suffer, if all protections and rights of America's citizens are removed ?

If the ultimate directives of A.L.E.C. are achieved? If White Christian Supremacy reigns in America, as a mask, and Plutocracy reigns the whole, formerly civilized world ?

Where will our modern Caesar arise, from ?

America has Trump and his Trump trolls. They see it, and decide that the poors should get less.

Without verifiable vote counts, the process is meaningless. Who does the counting? How are they overseen?

Trump in Twitter spat with woman who accused him of sexual harassment
Rachel Crooks has urged US president to release security footage of an encounter she says they had in Trump Tower in 2006

Tue 20 Feb 2018

Emperor Carrot Head has engaged in a Twitter fight with a woman who has accused him of forcibly kissing her when she worked at Trump Tower in 2006

Crooks responded by urging Trump to release the security tape from Trump Tower.

“Please, by all means, share the footage from the hallway outside the 24th floor residential elevator bank on the morning of January 11 2006. Let’s clear this up for everyone,” she wrote.

She later told CNN: “I would think as our president he would have more important things to do than tweet at me and try to discredit my story.

“I know what’s true, he knows what’s true and I think he should be afraid of that.”

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has broken a record for the most weapons confiscated at US airports in one week.

During the week of 5 to 11 February the agency found 104 firearms in the carry-on luggage of air passengers.

The majority of the firearms - 87 of the 104 - were found to be loaded with ammunition, 38 of those had a round in the chamber.

Only 17 of the confiscated firearms were found to be unloaded.

The country’s busiest airport, Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International in the state of Georgia, Dallas-Fort Worth, Dallas-Love Field, and Houston airports in Texas, Denver airport in Colorado, and Tampa and Orlando’s airports in Florida were the top offenders in 2017.

That president Trump acted to revoke protections for these lands is outrageous, and that he did so despite the Department of the Interior knowing of this amazing discovery is even more shocking. I hope the courts will act quickly to restore protections for Bears Ears before any more fossils are looted from the area and lost to science.”

Lifted protections for the Utah land are being challenged in court by five Native American tribes as well as environmental and scientific organizations.

The fossil bed of the specimens is part of the Chinle Formation. It runs through the center of the monument that former President Barack Obama designated in 2016. But that sedimentary rock also contains uranium appealing to mining companies.

In December 2017, The Washington Post uncovered a campaign by Energy Fuels Resources, a U.S. subsidiary of a Canadian firm, that urged the Trump administration to dramatically reduce Bears Ears.

Companies such as Energy Fuels, Inc. have played well-publicized roles in lobbying the Trump administration to reduce federal protection for public lands with uranium deposits. The Defense Department’s Nuclear Posture Review calls for new weapons production to expand the U.S. nuclear arsenal, which could spur new domestic uranium mining. And the Interior Department is advocating more domestic uranium production, along with other materials identified as “critical minerals.”

In Utah, the White Mesa Mill – our nation’s only currently operating uranium mill – has a record of persistent problems related to permitting, water contamination and environmental health, as well as tribal sacred lands and artifacts.

Monticello, Utah, hosted a federally owned uranium mill from 1942 to 1960. Portions of the town were even built from tailings left over from uranium milling, which we now know were radioactive. This created two Superfund sites that were not fully remediated until the late 1990s.

Fucked- up week.

NBC bullies Olympic athletes into competing during dangerous weather conditions. Russian and/or North Korean bots interfere with Olympics. FCC does not care to prevent Russian bots from polluting the interwebs information flow.

Net neutrality was lost, because the FCC did not bother to remove the bots from the process.

The FCC’s Net Neutrality Repeal Hits the Books on Thursday

February 21, 2018

Here’s what that means, and what you can expect next

Reuters and the Hill report that on Thursday, the commission will finally publish its rule to revoke network neutrality protections.* That doesn’t mean that it officially goes into effect then, though. What will happen is that the repeal will be published on the Federal Register, the official ledger of federal agency rules. It will become the rule of the land 60 days after publication, upon which time internet service providers will be able to block or throttle access to websites or charge websites a fee to reach users at faster speeds. But one thing can happen as soon as the rule is published: Groups that have been waiting to challenge the network neutrality repeal in court can file their lawsuits.

Without network neutrality rules, internet providers stand to make a lot of money, since the companies will be able to operate what is essentially a two-way toll—collecting money from both subscribers and websites that want to reach those users at faster speeds. Internet companies that are able to afford the fast-lane speeds, like Google, Yelp, or Facebook, would likely get to set the price, which could relegate most other websites that can’t afford the toll—including smaller startups, local businesses, and struggling news organizations—to what is, in effect, a slower internet. This would help further entrench the power of the incumbent internet companies, and make it even harder for new entrants to gain steam.
