Through Shadow, gamers will be able to gain access to the capabilities of a high-end gaming PC through the cloud. The service can be used not only on desktop computers and laptops, but also on Macs, smartphones, and tablets.

"We're giving you the equivalent to a $2,000 gaming PC for a subscription fee of $35 a month (for an annual plan)," Blade CEO Asher Kagan told GamesBeat in an interview. "Your performance would be equivalent to a PC with two Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards."

......no more $1,800 Nvidia GPUs for Xmas? Is this a game-changer for you?

Discuss.

I don't like cloud computing.

A decent gaming PC can be built for around $700.

That being said, I'm sure it'll be a hit.

I do love my Xbox One and 360. But you can't mod them.

My kinect is having issues. Evidently Microsoft no longer supports it.

Fuckers.

$420 a year, plus your 600 bucks a year internet bill, which will likely need to be increased because of the immense amount of data you'll need to connect to the cloud, or you'll have to worry about being throttled down.

Online play makes that even more of a case...

Doesn't seem like a very good deal at all.
